Ordinary everyday account.
It's a fairly basic account and the $5 pm give you unlimited withdrawls, internet and EFTPOS transactions. If I didn't have to pay a fee for the same features I'd probably move banks. Seems competitive with other banks but as with all these accou... Full review
It's a fairly basic account and the $5 pm give you unlimited withdrawls, internet and EFTPOS transactions. If I didn't have to pay a fee for the same features I'd probably move banks. Seems competitive with other banks but as with all these accounts they are nothing special and even though called a savings account there is no interest applied to the account to make use of the money within the account. UK bank accounts are far better than Australian accounts.

Coming from South Africa, I have to say that I am not totally impressed with some of the technical service provided in the back end. The customer side is really good - the people know their products and are very helpful. the bank fees of $5 a month is also attractive - provided you only use ANZ ATMs. BUT I have had an experience where I was paid on a Thursday, but only received my money SIX DAYS LATER! (it was over Easter).

Each time I've visited an ANZ branch, the person behind the counter doesn't frown...they do quite the opposite! Great Customer Service isn't enough to define ANZ. They're extremely helpful, but they don't seem to offer many Customer Rewards progra... Full review

Not worth the effort - look elsewhere
I had over $20k milked from my access advantage account and if I hadn't discovered it myself I would currently be knackered. I rang every number on their website from Friday till Tuesday and a bloke in the complaints department had the money back ... Full review
I had over $20k milked from my access advantage account and if I hadn't discovered it myself I would currently be knackered. I rang every number on their website from Friday till Tuesday and a bloke in the complaints department had the money back the next day. The rest were absolutely useless and I still havent heard 6 days later anything other than a letter from a head office yob that my account is overdrawn. They let the money go and didn't even contact me - I think the "Falcon" may have been shot or was on a tea break when the money went missing in several transactions on one day! My emails and faxes have received nothing! Taking my money elsewhere, they do not give a rats backside.

I recommend this to people who have no large financial obligations, who just use the card for general day to day living expenses and some online shopping. It suited my needs which is a card that is simple and effective, no major fees and a everyday card.

Pretty good product but considering how competitive this market is getting (not only with the other big four banks), it is imperative for ANZ to find new ways to improve its product. The fees they charge when using the cards overseas is not really reasonable and there's quite a few hidden fees that comes with this account. I was happy with it for a while until i realise all these cons. I'm now considering moving to another banking institution, probably not as one of the big 4.

This Debit Visa card is great as long as you dont go over $50 debit. If you do you will be charged a daily fee until it has been credited below $50. But if you intend to add credit in a day or so, it can be a handy item to meet your credit needs. Full review

To the extent i actually investigated other banks. i have held my accounts with ANZ for approximately 18yrs, till now they have had my loyalty but i am still not sure that i can stay that way. i know ANZ are a business but your survival relays on people like me.
