The Greater Building Society is predominately present in NSW, I live in Brisbane though and my closest branch is on the Gold Coast. Despite that though, I have been so happy with the service of them, I'm quite happy to travel down to there, or Lismore (where my account is actually at) whenever I need to visit a branch. I hold a personal account, a business account and a savings account with the Greater and I think the last time I paid fees was about 4 years ago. Considering that there are no ATMs anywhere near me, I think this says a lot about this bank. The interest rate on my savings account is usually slightly higher than other banks, and when looking at a home loan, their rates seem slightly lower as well. The customer service both in branch and on the phone is always impeccable and extremely helpful. I have nothing but praise for them, the only downside I can think of with them is simply their limited reach. Staff at the Greater, Tuggerah have a personal relationship with us that we have never been offered at the 4 big banks of which me and my husband have belonged in the past.
