Set up in 2003 for internet banking to avoid over cheque fees. Over time, charges started to appear for using internet. In 2006 monthly fee was $3.50.This now runs at $6.50 monthly, now with added charge for every internet transaction. My usage of this account has not varied. How can increased charges be justified?

I'm a pensioner and having this account is really great. I haven't been given overdrawn account fees, late fees or anything really. Plus the staff are really nice at my local branch and if I have any problems, they're very happy to help.

My bank accounts consisted of a cheque account and a savings account on a fixed monthly fee. Last time I went to the branch they told me there is enough money in them to swap to free accounts. I need to go back into the branch to changeover but it wont change the account numbers and will save me $15 a month. A great suggestion very much appreciated.
