ANZ are the most helpful bank I have ever belonged to. There are some fees I find unfair, however most of those fees are the same throughout Australia. It was a great card to travel with and charged me far less than another card I had with me overseas. It was also easy to operate my account internationally unlike my other account. I recommended when my boyfriend moved over from the UK to join ANZ, and he has been satisfied with his service so far. Once again the only problem he has is some of the fees are quite high.

I have lost thousands of dollars due to the unexplained "rules" associated with my credit card. although my repayments were only $30per month at one stage i was paying it back at $20per week [$100per month] but not one of those dollars came off my... Full review
I have lost thousands of dollars due to the unexplained "rules" associated with my credit card. although my repayments were only $30per month at one stage i was paying it back at $20per week [$100per month] but not one of those dollars came off my balance!!! What they say is because I did not put down the exact amount of $30 in any of those transactions it did not count. I was therefore charged late fees and god knows what else. I hate this bank with a passion!! I have been with them for almost 20yrs but since this has happened I have shut down 2 other accounts I had with them and are desperately trying to switch this last card to another bank. Wish me luck because I'm only on a newstart allowance and I can't afford to be stolen from anymore. It has caused me many tears and sleepless nights and i dont deserve this when im trying to do the right thing!!!

As a teacher who just returned from voluntary service overseas, ANZ helped me refinance some of my debts with an ANZ MasterCard. Later I needed to open a access account. The service was exceptional and without me asking, I was informed that I would incur no bank fees as I am Teacher. Wonderful start and the service as always been polite. It is not so in my husband's bank.

We have been long-term members of this bank institution and my darling husband is rubbish at managing his finances. Thankfully lovely wife (yours truly) has come in to do damage control, but the bank that we so trusted has done nothing to assist us to rectify this horrendous issue. I have tried tirelessly to get assistance (lowering the interest rate, getting on payment plans) etc. to no avail. Very unhappy and have been given the runaround for too long. As soon as the personal loans and credit card is paid off - we will be switching banks pronto.

Terrible in all areas even for long term customers
The intrest rate is too high and there are no rewards, they also have a high yearly fee and other fees also. If there are ever problems with the account for eg a charge has occurred without your knowledge or any kind of error, it is not dealt with... Full review

If there are ever problems with the account for eg a charge has occurred without your knowledge or any kind of error, it is not dealt with in a timely manner and can take months for them to investigate. Even though they promise it will be fixed and the money reimbursed it doesn't happen. So if someone wants to rip you off you may as well just kiss that money goodbye. Customer service via phone more so than in person is terrible and you get the phone run around to several different departments and after a long long time on the phone repeating yourself you get no help at all. You end up frustrated and very angry. I am switching banks!!!
