I have never had any problems with my credit card. Although there is no interest 'ever' on my card, I attempt to keep my payments in-line before any interest can accrue. Now that's worth an interest!! Full review

The problem i had with this credit card was the interest rates on cash advances and purchases. It was murder! It was impossible to pay back the amount spent on the card in 55 days, meaning that the interest charges for both purchases and cash advances sky rocketed. I received no verbal or mail communication/correspondance from Westpac regarding options to reduce the monthly fees on the card, ie: changing the card over. It was only when i rang the bank directly that i was given any advice on the matter. I have now switched my card over to a Low Rate Mastercard with lower fees.

I think that the Ignite Mastercard with NO annual fee is a great product for any person who knows how to control their spending. All the convenience and no cost if used effectively, toss in great customer service and you're on a winner. Full review

An extremely low interest rate (which is what everyone wants) with no annual fee (great for those who don't use it much) and when there's a problem like credit card fraud, Westpac banks have been so helpful and friendly. I would certainly return to them for any occasion where I would need ongoing support and assistance. (Like a Home Loan)

I can’t help thinking they’ve missed a trick here – how many cardholders would have stayed with Westpac just to keep their purple, pink or black plastic? * No more funky Virgin brand: the cheeky cut off corner is gone and the Ignite Credit Card looks pretty much the same as any other card. Solid. Respectable. Not exactly the sort of brand that will appeal to many Virgin customers. * No more Mates Rates rewards: Westpac has promised it’s own ‘Instant Offers’ program but details are sketchy.

We have had this product for some time and just recently had a very helpful assistant who guided me through some online banking payments to overseas companies. I think that their interest in keeping our accounts from being broken into is first class. I have had phone calls when suspicious withdrawals have cropped up and thank them each time for the opportunity of answering the query before they acknowledge the validity or otherwise of the withdrawal.

There's nothing special about the credit card. I had to wait an unacceptably long time on the phone for service. The only reason I signed up for it was because of the low transfer interest rate but I was not told that purchases were at the 19+%. Also was not told the rate after the transfer date was 19+% too. Not going to use the card any more, concentrating all efforts on paying it off.
