        It is not so much the product. Westpac gave my mum and I a homeloan so that I could buy a home when I was a uni-student and single parent, and unemployed. The loan was given really with my Mumas guarantor. But no other bank would give me a home lo...       Full review 

        It is not so much the product. Westpac gave my mum and I a homeloan so that I could buy a home when I was a uni-student and single parent, and unemployed. The loan was given really with my Mumas guarantor. But no other bank would give me a home loan. They were compassionate.

        I shall be reviewing my mortgage in March. The product ticks along nicely and I have never been charged fees even if the money wasn't paid in one month on time. Westpac online banking is very user friendly. I have 2 choice accounts and it is often difficult for them to distinguish between the 2 accounts which are different branches, which is sometimes an inconvenience but we get there in the end. I wish they had more ATMs at Foodlands etc as this would be handy. They do not contact me to try and get me a lower mortgage rate so I think that when I start looking I will inevitably change. They should be more proactive to keep good customers like ourselves.
