The interest rates for personal loans was the same as the interest rate with my finance company. There was no real incentive to consolidate into one loan with ANZ even though I have been a customer for 20 years.

For me, this application was easy to make from the beginning, but the ongoing support and understanding I've received is what sets this bank apart from the rest. In particular, the customer service provided on phone and in the branch is just brilliant.

Worst customer service I have ever had, had to wait hours to see a teller at the bank to answer my questions only to be told that they couldnt help and would have to ring.

The loan itself is great, however I have lately had a few issues with their service.
I have recently started maternity leave and have gone from being 3 months ahead on payments to only just being able to make them.
I have had to delay payments on a couple of occasions and even though I called to tell them this, they either recorded the wrong date, the wrong amount or just didn't record it at all.
I was consequently sent to their legal department and was very close to being sent to debt collectors.
This was very upsetting as I did everything I was supposed to and was previously so far ahead. This didn't seem to account for anything.

As with all customer service industries i have had a couple of bad experiences with a couple of staff members. Having said that, for the amount of times i have had to deal with members of staff (well over 100), a couple (2) of bad dealings is minimal. I would always like to pay less interest but that's not going to happen!

First of all you should give people the option of selecting multiple banks they want to rate and also for mutiple products.I have accounts with some banks with different products but I am give only the choice of selecting 1 bank and 1 choice and so, if I want to give you my opinions on a number of banks and their products How do I do this? By making multiple entries? I would suggest that people should be able to comment on the different accounts that they have with different banks and for multiple products they might have with those banks which would make things easier and a better way to rate my BANKS.

ANZ was the only bank who would give us a Personal loan when we needed a car. Because I am a Pensioner and my Husband had just started a new job no other Bank or Building Society wanted to help us, even the Building Society we had been with for 8 years wouldn't even consider giving us a loan.

I like the way they set up the loan because it gave us the option to pay it out earlier and receive no fees for earlie pay out i think with any product you need to have your questions written down on a piece of paper bedfore you apply and apply at the bank so you can speak face to face with someone nothing like human contact.

I find the product itself to be good but I can get very frustrated with my local bank and their service. I think they need more customer service and friendly staff. It's not that they're horrible, it's just that they are not very helpful.

I think that people shoulc consider the overall cost of a personal loan. I had a $10,000 loan for a car which cost me in real terms $18,000. It was very easy and convenient to access this loan.

Our 21 year old son has a Personal Loan, he has repaid half, and now is in an Apprenticeship - therefore much lower wages. The bank will not even consider refinancing, renegotiating the repayments. In fact the ANZ Bank Advisor told him to declare himself bankrupt instead of trying to renegotiate the payments.

After many phone calls wanting to change a loan, ANZ kept refusing, so the loan was put "on hold" awaiting the ombudsman. When some money passed through the connected account, ANZ decided that it was for their loan, and TOOK ALL THE FUNDS, despite the previous action on the loan.
