  Of all the Australian banks, I truly believe Bank of Queensland are the most trust worthy. They put the customer first over massive profits. This is probably because they are run by owner managers and these owner managers have to answer to the c...       Full review 

  Of all the Australian banks, I truly believe Bank of Queensland are the most trust worthy. They put the customer first over massive profits. This is probably because they are run by owner managers and these owner managers have to answer to the customers - they know us, they know our kids. Australians have come to HATE the banks - but this is one bank you can rely on.

  I researched the bank Of Queensland and found their economy loan. Maximum loan, lowest of rates and a small amount to be paid on the principle!   The bank Manager is the owner of the branch. He has our best interests at heart and gave us a great home loan.I would definately recommend this product and this bank. A big thumbs up for BOQ.       Full review

  Under advice from our manager, we took out Income Protection Insurance with our home loan never expecting to need to access it. My husband has been unable to work for the last 9 months and is awaiting surgery. We contacted the Insurance company forwarded all requested information and their service has been unbelievable, we expected to have to fight for the funds but, so far, the company deposits the full amount into the home loan account every 3 months - awesome!

Cons are that the bank maintains rates in line with other majors and have proven inflexible at the point of negotiating a better rate or giving advise of a more suitable alternatives.   There is a $350 fee on this loan every year and it comes out with no warning letter or anything, it just gets taken out of your account, so you are in the red, and any money that goes into the account has to pay it whether you can afford it at the...       Full review

  I like Bank of Queensland's home loan deals, as they are just as good as the "Big 4 banks." In fact, they are better. They are always quick to drop their interest rates, their personal attention is second to none and my bank manager is always aro...       Full review 

  I like Bank of Queensland's home loan deals, as they are just as good as the "Big 4 banks." In fact, they are better. They are always quick to drop their interest rates, their personal attention is second to none and my bank manager is always around for a chat or to give me advise if I have any questions. Two years ago my 21 year old son bought his first home, I took him to my bank where he applied and got a mortgage, the bank done everything for us, they even waivered the mortgage fee,to help our son. I honestly am very heppy to be a Bank of Queensland customer, and my son is very happy with them too.

  Last weekend we made an appointment to see our local manager. He explained how we can maximise our money to pay off our home loan quicker.   The scum foreclosed on the loan and evicted us despite having $12 million in security for a $3 million loan and a contract for sale of some of the property for $8.6 million, they evicted us rather than wait 7 weeks for settlement, putting my wife through stress that nearly killed her with a heart attack, I would not deal with these people under any circumstances, BE WARNED !!!!!   Service is everything for me. BOQ offers superior personalized service. Having owner operated branches does make a huge difference. Whether you require further information or simply need to draw out money above & beyond your limit, Chris who owns Adelaide's BOQ branch is easily accessible at all times to make this happen. Last year when my parents fell ill with cancer, I needed extra cash to help them out with their treatment & one phone call directly the the Branch Manager later this had been arranged. Far too many banks these days are too commercialized which has desensatised any customer/manager relationships. By creating an owner operated system in all of their branches BOQ have resolved this problem & brought back the key fundamental thing customers require - quality service with a smile.

  My husband and I went halves in a property with my brother in law in which we all lived there together. We had a falling out and my brother in law moved out and left it all up to us to pay the house. We tried to sell it but couldn't. BOQ would...       Full review 

  My husband and I went halves in a property with my brother in law in which we all lived there together. We had a falling out and my brother in law moved out and left it all up to us to pay the house. We tried to sell it but couldn't. BOQ would not help us in any way they were making us pay not one but x2 exit fee's cause the 1 mortgage was split into 2 loans. So we had no luck in in selling our home to break even or even for a little bit of debt we would have been in debit massively with all the exit fee etc. So my husband's grandfather bought half the house to help us. But because he had to pay out half the loan BOQ have made us restructure the whole loan they were still going to make us pay our fixed term loan fee of $10,000.00 and like $3,000.00 normal fees. So after much arguing they are not making us pay the $10,000.00 but are keeping us on the higher interest rate for the next year until our fix term loan ends. So we have to keep struggling for another year. I would not recommend BOQ to anyone they have made our financial life hell and don't help at all.

  Because at the Bank of Queensland, you are dealing with a bank manager who owns his own business and therefore it is in his/her best interest to assist and guide you. I have found the service above average in all aspects and better still, you are treated as a real person not just someone standing at the counter.   I like the BoQ because it provides VIP status, I can get answers to my queries very quickly and their online service is easy and friedly to use and its suits my way of managing my fiances very quickly.
