      This company says they are for the customer with all their advertising but when it comes to actual, they will take fees first then bounce a direct debit because it is now $1 insufficient funds. Great work from a so called Owner operated Company.       Full review

      Another bank that attracts new customers with a high interest savings account only to completely disappear in that market. The initial sign-up process was a real pain - signing up in person was a must and branches are thin on the ground in NSW....       Full review

The initial sign-up process was a real pain - signing up in person was a must and branches are thin on the ground in NSW. After some time of non-use the online banking system locks you out - good thing I emptied my account rather than letting it grow!

      The bank pf Queensland have been fabulous because of their one on one dealings. The owner/manager of the branch we use has handled our needs personally, has listened to our requirements and made his decision based on his personal feelings. The savings account has been easy to manage, internet banking and now more ATMs have made banking easier and more convenient and the staff at our branch welcome us by first name whenever we use counter service. Fantastic.

      Well BOQ is okay for some people. As for me, not really. They have a $4 monthly fee even if you don't have the money in your account and a $40 overdraw fee where some banks only charge like $10!       Full review

      It's the first bank that's ever treated me like a person - not a number. I know all the staff by their given names and they address me by mine. We share family events eg weddings, engagements etc. Also holiday snaps and, their travel insurance is awesome and reasonably priced. When we've needed a personal loan, it's not a major calamity. I have no hesitation in recommending them to newcomers to the state.

      I think BOQ is quite good, and if you live close (i.e. in Qld) to one of their branches I suggest you go with them, but if you don't live in QLD, then don't bother unless you like to go for long hikes, which is what you will have to do everywhere ...       Full review

      Convenience is everything. BOQ's alliance with NAB means I have no cost ready access to ATM's. Also there is no charge on visiting the branch. As I am in QLD and my bank is BOQ branches are spread across the state, also the bank has a community feel as opposed to a National/International bank where I am only an account number!

      I was banking through another institute and was hit with other ATM fees also was not in convenient locations. I knew family members who were banking through BOQ and were able to access their money at more ATMs and BOQ was on the redi network so I switched and can save on other ATM fees and can access my money fast. I cannot pick any flaws and have always found them to be willing to explain their products terms and services with me.
