Having been a Loyal customer to them for many years, they give Absolutely nothing back. We changed our home loan and I am in the process of looking for another Bank that will look after their customers by offering Service and Loyalty benefits. The Zero Mastercard is great if you are planning to pay off your credit card before the cut-off date, otherwise you'll get charged relatively high interest. Not only are Bankwest energetic and innovative with their product, their platinum card has no annual fee, and the extra concierge package that comes complimentary is like nothing on the market. Low interest rate, no-fuss credit card. No annual charges. Bankwest customer service is excellent. They are always easy to contact, waiting times to talk to a customer servise assistant are low and they are always able to answer my questions. Making money from late fees or overdrawn fees is detrimental to customer service and loyalty. Customers are not told how to work within the system like when to move money from one account to another to avoid fees. Bank staff do this and reap the benefits. Basically all banks suck and need to lower interest rate to a fixed 9% with no other fees. It was a very simple online application form when I applied for BankWest Zero Platinum MasterCard. In a matter of a few days my application was approved and a couple of days later the card arrived in the mail. I have already had an existing savings account with BankWest, which I believe why they didn't hassle me with further verification procedures. We each have a Mastercard "Lite", as well as our business. Its lower interest rate is very attractive and it is a convenient product to have. The Mastercard Lite Credit has a very competitive long term transfer rate AND ongoing purchases rate. The bank has a low introductory rate. However, I was badgered by them for several days regarding a credit card payment for $35. I felt this was a bit over the top.
