The staff at the Penrith Branch of BankWest were helpful, knowledgeable and professional. Their home loan products were very competitive. The best thing is that the branches are open 6 days a week!

They seem to forget to tell you about the fees and any extra charges, then mail you two different statements with extra charges. That leaves me to call them to tell them what mistakes have been made! Frustrating.

It's very easy to sign up for an the process was not complicated to understand. When you log onto online banking, you can clearly see your accounts displayed. The format is excellent. They also offer a better rate than most banks and they flexible with their progress payments. They have made a normally frustrating process a very very easy one. I have all my accounts with bankwest now and have no reason to change in the future.

I really like the flexibility of making our repayments when we like rather then direct debit when they like. Always easy to speak to a consultant on the phone. We gave refinanced several times and alwady have been offered the best rate in the market. This homeloan saves us thousands of dollars a year.

I dislike the number of posted advices sent - the bank should have sent a notification to opt for online notification of rate changes etc to save on postage and documentation, the environment etc.

Bankwest proved to not be accomodating on a request from our family to borrow a small amount of money on top of our existing mortgage which you can see below, we've had with them for more than 5 years. When our current contract ends in 12 months we will be looking to take our mortgage elsewhere.

My home loan is with Bankwest and I have found them to be very accomodating and genuinely interested in explaining their products when asked.
The staff are friendly and eager to assist without being "over zealous" in wanting you to hear about new products or asking you if you know about their various other rates and options when you just want to get your banking done and leave.
I have recommended them to family/friends as an option for home loans at competitive rates with service.

The Lite and Lite plus packages come with unwanted extras such as Credit card with hidden fees. Bank branches are not available in my area so have to rely on mobile lenders or travel long distances to arrange some transactions.
