This bank and the people in their branches give the best banking services. That I have ever come across. Over the years I have baked with most of the major player and this is the only one that I could actually recommend. It was especially refreshing having just come fro BANKWEST who have got to be the worst bank in the Western world, I would even put them lower than Lloyds in the UK! The main thing that I like about my bank, is that all of the tellers have excellent customer service and make a point of acknowledging you by name which makes it a nice experience to go to the bank. I discovered Bendigo Bank and have closed all my other accounts with other institutions, because Bendigo Staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable, and they seem a little more personable than the larger banks. I would thoroughly recommend a visit to a Bendigo Bank branch to see what they can do for you. They are competitive and they are one of the only banks to offer Passbook accounts. Fees are reasonable unlike other banks and excellent customer service. Only bank I know of that will warn you if your direct debit would make you over drawn so you can fix it in time and hence not incur a penalty fee! I love the debit credit card, as it gives you the flexibility to use credit facilities and its all your own money, you are not racking up a debt. I like the fact that I can use my card at any EFTPOS facilities, yet its not a credit card so there's no need to worry about going into debt. I get a certain amount of transactions for free each month so I try not to go over them, that way I don't get charged extra. I don't like the fact that there isn't any interest at all on my card. I think it would be good to perhaps be contacted with other offers that may be relevant from time to time - NOT bombarded though, just every now and then, and only ones that suit a particular customer. Most of the Bendigo Bank local staff are fantastic people, very nice and helpful, and answer any questions I have.
