Low interest rate even when the Reserve Bank hiked it considerably-(Started at 9.99%{2yr ago--approx.} and it increased to only 10.99% at the height of the extreme interest rate hike--still current 2010)
Plus barely an hour after I had checked my transaction details, I received a call about fraudulant transactions on my creditcard a/c of approx. $900.00->>>A diligent and efficient Bendigo Consultant found the descrepencies immediately, it would have been possibly 3xdays before i would have ever noticed!! AND Just for comparison- my first ever credit card approx. 13 years ago with a supposed 'big' name bank---with an interest rate of approx. 13% (at least, from memory), which i do recall it increasing up to 16%/p.a. approx. I do also have a recollection that it also went alot higher but i am not 100% sure, and that was---way back then!! No... I am that old!!! lol!!!

I was recommended this product as it had lower interest fees and I didn't want any type of rewards benefits and it also had the 44 day interest free period with the product. Everything was explained to me in easy to understand terms. I was very happy with the service.

The Local branch is exceptionally helpful. The Bendigo Community Bank is very focused on helping the local economy. They also offer exceptional customer service, not seen elsewhere, and are particularly helpful in time of crisis'. Overall a 10/10 Bank!

I believe that if a bendigo bank black credit card is kept under control it is very useful and helpful. 45 days interest free is enough for me to pay it off by those 45 days.

I find that this product is very cost effective, I was paying $30 a month before for transaction fees and since having the visa credit card they only charge me $3 per month now being a single mum this is a huge bonus and extra money at the end of the month. The thing i dont like is that when u withdraw money out they charge you a fee after 4 transactions plus the cost on the atm machine to withdraw it out. In cairns there arnt alot of atm machines, the closest one is around 15 mins away, then theres the cost for fuel to get to it and fees again.

Bendigo bank has treated us well with our credit cards. Even though we are pensioners, we asked for an increase in our credit limit before traveling overseas, and they were very obliging. Very competitive annual fee, and great rewards system.

I recently paid $214.00 to a company who advertised as a job agency. I actually called them and asked a number of questions before paying the money just to confirm what I was paying for. After paying my $214.00 I received an email which took me to a sight giving me information that I could get off the internet for nothing. I challenged them over this and a number of emails were sent back and forth after I requested a refund. This this company was highlighted on A Current Affair and was found to be a scam. As I paid with my credit card I called my Bendigo Bank in Bundall Qld and asked to have my credit card canceled and re-issue me with another one. Trish Plant advised that they could do a "payment dispute" on the transaction and might have a chance of getting my money back. Within weeks I had a refund noted on the statement as well as a letter confirming that they has been successful in achieving the refund. If Trish had not advised me of the service they had I would have been none the wiser and lost the money.

Low monthly charges and no charges for cheques written or cancelled and low fees for ATM use. Interest is way better than all the big, better know banking institutes and nothing is ever a problem for staff to deal with. All enquiries are dealt with immediately. Any transactions not recognised are investigated and sorted within a matter of two days. never had such a prompt response and assistance from a bank like this before and i have been with 3 of the major banks over my life span. Bendigo is really a community bank..
