      The fact there is only one branch in Central is a disadvantage but the online web banker is very good and I use this everyday. I think the loan component I use is very competitive. Though I intend to do my homework so I am getting best rate. The insurances through CUA I rate as expensive so don't use them. I don't go into the branch very often but when I do the service is good.

      CUA are fantastic they have always been friendly and helpful, they do not rush you and when you bring in a heap of coins they do not get upset, so i finally have found a bank that i like to go to and they always are there to help.       Full review

      I have had a CUA account since I started working at 15 which was 12 years ago. This account has been the best ever. I have never been charged transaction fees, I have been able to understand every call i have ever had to make regarding my bank with staff speaking fluent english. I even recommended my partner to get his car loan through CUA. There were never any fees involved and the ladies in the Penrith branch were extremely helpful. The best customer service from any bank I have delt with. They are by far the friendliest and most understanding for what it is you require. I will never leave CUA for my bank account, it's just been so easy with them. No hassles what so ever.

      Although branches are not available in smaller townships, banking, both withdrawal and deposit can be done at any post office. I have been with Credit Union for decades and had car loans, house loans, debit cards and normal banking services. They were only small when I commenced banking with them, and was a post office employee but they have expanded and would recommend both the friendly staff and answers to any questions you have most hightly. I began using them when the NAB would not advance us $20,000 to finish building our house and insisted we go through Custom Credit with an horrendus interest rate in 1981. I would not bank anywhere else.

And if Woollies hadn't removed the Savings button choice, forcing me to use the Credit option, I wouldn't have any fees at all.

      CUA is by far the best bank I have ever experienced. The branches themselves are comfortable, you never have to wait in line, and you just get the impression they are not in the game solely for a huge profit - that they want to help their members too. Always friendly, good options for savings accounts and a distinct absence of fees! It almost sounds like I work for them, but I definitely don't! Friends got me onto them a few years ago and I have never looked back. I would never change banks now.

      After being with another bank several years ago the fees were huge but since going over to CUA the fees went down well over 3/4 of what we were previously paying and the service and being able to approach the staff was excellent       Full review

      It does not look after those who do not have a large sum of money that goes into your bank. You must keep a minimum amount at all times in your account to not have to pay a monthly fee of get charged for more than 4 withdrawals a month       Full review

      Banks have become very choosy over who they give loans to and people like myself are somewhat discriminated against because we do not have a job, however still recieving an income (pension). I have been a loyal customer through this bank and have paid off a loan through them before and for the majority of the loan i was unemployed little to their knowledge and still managed to pay off this loan ahead of time. They do not ask enough questions and are not loyal to those loyal to them.

      Whenever I contact CUA for any reason, their staff is friendly, efficient, informative and always do their utmost to satisfy my banking requirements. Every request, whether straight banking, insurance or health insurance, actioned usually on the spot. Elderly customers receive full service including taking extra care to ensure they are completely informed and the situation fully understood The only Con in over 15 years was an error in entering one transaction to another of my accounts which was remedied within an hour.

      This really is one of the most professional and friendly financial institutions i have ever had the pleasure to deal with .Been with for a number of years and have NEVER had any issues with them .Why is it so difficult for other banks to operate like, this and still maintain a healthy profit margin? Finding ATMs were a bit of an issue in the past ,but this ceased to be a problem once they aligned with the National Bank. Interesting how i rarely see an ad for CUA. Seems only the most disreputable ,keep telling us how wonderful they are!Highly recommend this institution and for veracity of my comments , i declare that neither i or my family have any connection to CUA ,other than to hold an account there.
