The interest rate is always lower than the big 4 banks. There are no monthly fees. The online banking feature is incredibly simple and easy to use, and I use it to pay all my bills, which gives me more time with my family, rather than having to queue up in a branch or post office to pay the bills. I think more people should be made aware of the benefits of using CUA, as they are a fantastic Credit Union, the employees are so polite and helpful, and I can only provide my opinion that they are the best bank around.

Our loan officer is excellent and even though he has moved on from this role, still helps us through our loan process. The product is great with added benefits like the ability to offset without all the rules that other banks have - they just use whatever your balance is on the day they do the calculation. We can also pay whatever way we like without penalty. Although they don't have all the products that other banks offer, CUA's home loans really are excellent value.

YesGuys, to save a $200/yr, would be worthwhile going with another bank. CUA work out of QLD Head office, so paperwork, approvals, FHOG, refinancing all happens from there - the local branches in Vic are quite incompetent when it comes to presenting ... Full review
Guys, to save a $200/yr, would be worthwhile going with another bank. CUA work out of QLD Head office, so paperwork, approvals, FHOG, refinancing all happens from there - the local branches in Vic are quite incompetent when it comes to presenting customer issues to QLD Head office. Local branched in Vic caused us grief after they lodged our FHOG incorrectly, our SRO application was incorreclty lodged as well. Their evaluator was not competant enough, so as to be able to handle insurance paperwork which was under body corporate documentation. CUA took 55 days after settlement to fix the issue with incorrectly lodged FHOG, SRO - this caused us great grief, lost interest and lost confidence. We certainly do not recommend going with CUA and stick with another smaller bank. CUA will often claim they are not a bank, so rightly said. So be aware of issues when it comes to a bank loan with them.
CUA are brilliant in everything they offer. Their focus is giving me the best product for my needs as opposed to raping my account. For this reason I will always be happy to sing their praises. Full review
