There is always personalised service. The Managers care about their clients and don't encourage you to overcapitalise. Fees are almost non existent and at times negotiable and interest rates are competitive. I don't know why more people don't ditch the major banks for the outstanding benefits of Credit Union Australia.

mmm... from the start in signing the mortgage, they were very slow during times when interest rates were rising very quickly. They constantly changed the rate, which meant it ended up being a difference of 1.65% from their initial offer to what it ended up being...

I have had nothing but a positive experience with CUA with my home loan. I dealt with the bank manager personally and was offered lots of extras that other banks don't tell you about. I have nothing but praise for this Bank and branch.

The fixed or variable home loan with CUA is one the best and hassle free which I have found in my experience. They have the best customer service and internet banking. Most of the loans have 100% offset facility with free redraw! What else is needed!! They have the best interest rates to offer when compared to the big 4. I never had any paperwork hassle or any issues while and after buying our first home. I recommend CUA to everyone out there who crave for a hassle free home buying experience.

I bank with Cape credit union at Kurnell - they weren't listed however from banking industry credit unions are all fairly similar - cape display personal interest and know who you are when you walk in. no monthly fees - any redraw is actioned within a few hours not days or weeks. will call you if there is any issues to try to avoid fees to be charged - can't get better than that.

we have been with CUA for 7 years and cant fault their home loan product. we fixed our home loan and can pay as much as we want when we want and can redraw etc. the staff are lovely and helpful and we have nearly paid off our home in 7 years because of the flexibility to pay as much as you want on a fixed interest rate. not many banks let you do that.

Their home loans have some of the lowest interest rates (as they are not answering to share holders) and their service is excellent. The loan account shows up beside my savings account within internet banking. BUT no online re-draw capability which can be a major hassle if you need money in a hurry for unexpected bills. You have to fill out a form. On the up-side the branch processes it for me and they are super-fast. In this day and age though you would think they would offer this feature in their online banking. I have given them feedback but no luck!
