      I am an owner of the Credit Union. They generally have better rates than most, and offer a number of other services from the normal financial services to health care and travel advice and bookings. They have a club for Seniors with various deals for that Club. Good service, although a thinning of shop fronts and great access to online banking and ATM network.

      Originally liked this product and bank as it was a credit union and they put membership benefits before profits. However, they've become more like a bank over the years and the fees they charge can be exhorbitant. Overall, they have good customer service and their ATM network is expanding (and the Rediteller machines don't charge a fee) Interest rate is normal, fees normal = just another bank on the most part.

      Like most Credit Unions, they have very few Branches and are based in the CBD of a major city which means as a now rural customer, I would have to travel over 600kms round trip to actually visit them.       Full review

      CUA accurately presents itself as a credit union for the people. The products, interest and minimal charges are an example of this.They are very accessible and nothing is too much trouble for their friendly but very professional staff. I have been a member since 1974 and wouldn't even entertain the idea of banking anywhere else. This is an organisation I would be proud to recommend to all my friends and family. Cheers.

      The credit Union offers everything the regular banks offer, without the pressure to return dividend to shareholders. I am bewildered that people still use banks when there is a viable, more reliable alternative.       Full review

      This account was originally opened for my elderly mother to use. She had no problems finding and using ATM's and the staff gave her caring attention with their over the counter service. They assisted her in every way possible so much so that she opened several term deposit accounts with CUA. I certainly appreciated their understanding in this hi-tech age of banking. All this and no fees :-)

      I was told credit unions are here to benefit members, I was a member for the last ten yrs and recently left because they were kind enough to pre approve a 19yr old with a 7.5k Gold Mastercard. Im now 27 and still trying to pay it off. I have asked them for help, like transferring it to a lower interest rate card, or payment options, something to assist me, and they always decline me yet Im employed full time & have no defaults on my credit rating, so I closed my account and went to NAB as they couldn't provide me with any assistance at all.

      It is very had to do banking with CUA. If you physically need to deposit money, you have to make a day of it as there are hardly any branches. They really are only good for electronic banking. They have hardly any ATM's either. Which makes me thin...       Full review
