      Coles Insurance is backed by Westfarmers. One of the biggest conglomerates in Australia. Very solid company so no worries there. Was not directly affected by recent foods / earthquakes, so financially strong. Have been treated well as Westfarmers ...       Full review 

      Coles Insurance is backed by Westfarmers. One of the biggest conglomerates in Australia. Very solid company so no worries there. Was not directly affected by recent foods / earthquakes, so financially strong. Have been treated well as Westfarmers is based in retailing, so customer focus is very high. Would expect nothing but the highest standards. Priced very sharply, even in comparison to other online insurance companies. In fact was by far the cheapest, if you lived on the Lower North Shore (Sydney), and had not made any claims in past 5 years. I myself had not made any claims in the past 35 years, neither car nor house. Was rewarded with a VERY low premium.

      I found their rates very competitive and I was able to customise my insurance to suit me; change the excess, include windscreen, hire car etc... I also received discount petrol vouchers to use as part of the sign up.       Full review
