It has a great reward program when combined with Flybuys. I have been able to use my card anywhere and collect Flybuy points which has speeded up my ability to redeem for products that are excellent. Customer service is very pleasant but not local (Australian) However, annual fee and interest rate is high.

Pros : No monthly fee. Generous limit. Interest free period on purchases. Can do all banking on-line, including statements via e-mail. Flybuy rewards for purchases. Has been the "Money" winner past 5 years running....for good reasons. Cons - Interest rate is high, from 20.5 to 22% (if you don't pay balance in full). Cash advance fee of $2 and international fees are rich....as they are with all credit dards. Overall, the best credit card there is.

I have had this product for a number of years and the interest rate is rather high, I seem to always be paying back interest and never seem to get ahead on my payments, most banks honour a certain amount of dollars when you go over your limit but with the credit card, as soon as you hit the limit they decline your payment even if it's $2. As soon as your due by date has arrived and you are one day over it they are immediately on the phone hassling me for immediate payment. I will never get another product from the Coles group again

I always pay my credit card in full at the end of the month, and I also have this card attached to my bank, so its an automatic debit, so I dont forget to pay on time. Also with this card, I get fly-by points, and extra points when I use my fly-by card, so its a great way to earn those little extras - also, having this card, and spending in Coles supermarkets, I get an extra 4C a litre off petrol (on top of the 4c off for purchases over $30)- so that makes 8c a litre off petrol purchases as well ! A bargain.

YesThe Coles Credit card is a product I'd recommend to friends etc as there is no fees, a good rewards system and accepted everywhere. It has a good security feature attached and allows extra bonuses re fuel vouchers on amount spent!! Good C/card. Full review

Coles Source card is great because there are no annual or monthly fees and 62 days interest free. Of course that means little because you still have to make minimum payments at the end of the month toward your debt and not one minute after midnight at the end of the month either or you pay hefty late fees. Periodical promotions like a $20 gift voucher for using your card for $750 of transactions in a month are pretty nice though. If you spend $30 at Coles Group stores you get 8 cents per litre off fuel by combining your receipt clipping and vouchers you will be sent in the mail. This is inconvenient though. I don't know why they don't store your "vouchers" on your account then automatically discount your fuel. Also, don't forget you get two Flybuy points when you spend five dollars at Coles Group stores. If you are going to chase Flybuys points when Coles have to hide high product prices behind $10 meal advertisements that up to you.

If I new what they were like before I signed up for the credit card I would not even thought of getting a one, not only have I had trouble with them the repayments are terrible. they put the rate up when they feel like it and even if your not using the card you still get charged and Im on a freaking pension and then when I pay off most of the card its mostly gone on interest and they have stopped me from using the but i still have to pay interest on using a card I dont have and Transaction fees so I'd say PLEASE dont bother with this card its so upsetting.

However their penalties for late payments and interest rates make it almost impossible to stop the interest if you once get into arrears. I have had to obtain a second credit card elsewhere. Change direct debits to this credit card, make no purchases on the Coles card. Pay it in full, just to prevent further interest charges. Ridiculous.

Although it has a high interest rate and high charges this is a good card if you pay it off every month and educate yourself on its use. It is a rarity to find a gold card with zero annual fees. The rewards program is basic - being FLYBUYS, but with no fees this is not an issue. The additional reward of additional fuel discounts can easily save over $200 a year.

The Coles Source credit card is without doubt the best in Australia, provided of course you are able to pay the closing balance off every month. No annual FEE; Up to 62 days interest free on purchases; The option of having the closing balance deducted automatically from your savings account thus avoiding any chance of incurring a fee ever; Flybuys for those that like them and an extra 4 cents totaling 8 cents off your fuel bill at Coles express outlets when you spend more than $30 at a Coles store. Nice bonus. Of course the interest rate is higher than many others so it's unsuitable for anyone who is in the habit of going through life with a debt on their credit card. You'll notice that from other negative reviews on here where people have racked up debt on their 'free' card only to find it's costing them more in interest than if they ideally didn't have a credit card in the first place. But human nature being what it is, we want what we want when we want it so for some that means overspending on their budgets and for them a lower interest rate is the go even if it comes with an annual fee. It's all about sitting down and understanding your spending habits and acting accordingly. In other words if you are at risk of falling behind then do yourself a favour and go with a card that has the lowest interest rate as it'll cost you less in the long run.

YesLike any credit card provider if you pay it out in full every month before interest is incurred then it is all good. I think that I am just to lazy to swap providers and there are a lot better deals out there for less interest. Full review
