  Fee structure is VERY difficult to understand, varies according to your 'financial relationship' with the bank - the more money in your account and/or the more you owe, the lower the fees, so those who can least afford to pay high fees - low to middle income earners with very few savings and can't afford a home or personal loan - are the ones being charged the highest fees.

  I really like the Freestyler account that I hold with CPS as it is easy to use and accepted pretty much everywhere. The fees are low and the staff at every branch I have been in have been wonderful.       Full review

  The savings account with an overdraft seamlessly fits into my lifestyle. With flexibility to change from a positive savings balance to a credit product whenever, I customer, need it and a payment structure that least impacts on my cashflow, it is perfect. The major advantages include: 1) Good interest rates on the overdraft and savings balances. 2) Encouragement to save while enabling immediate access to credit in an emergency. 3) Excellent online and phone banking and branch service 4) Fee structure is competitive with other financial institutions. 5) Bill payment, funds transfer, links to other products and direct debits are excellent. The only negative I have found is the dishonour and over-the-limit fees, but these are similar to other credit unions and banks. This product is excellent to have your salary paid into and from which to pay bills. It is an excellent central tool for managing the family finances. It is strong, flexible, reliable, affordable and information-age friendly. This product is a fabulous fit for a family.

  The personal service of this credit union is fantastic and indicative of the level of training the staff must get. I have never had any issues with errors, to the contrary, the staff and/or system will make a note if something doesn't add up or I have made an error myself. The staff are always happy and useful.   It doesn't matter how much or how little money you may have in your account, you are always treated the same with a lovely smile and a very pleasant attitude. Also in Adelaide all the credit unions get together and puts on the Christmas pageant which is amazing and they do all the practises in their own time. Rain Or shine it still goes on. The other banks wouldn't take it on when John Martins closed 'The founder of the padgent. So they are here for the people in business and pleasure. They were also really helpful in providing information on how I could access my money while overseas.   Firstly CPS cares for it's customers; in fact it was originally created for specific members to be. It therefore charges almost nothing in fees, gives one credit for being a long standing member with special little extras; the staff are always friendly & obliging & as a customer of approximately 40 yrs I have never had any issue with any aspect of it's service. I very much doubt that many of it's competitors have such a success rate. I have recommended them to others many times over the years.
