      I bank with the Nelson Bay Branch of the Greater. I do the work banking at the NAB. and keep my uni student daughters account topped up through Wespac. So I feel I can make a fair judgement and comparison. The Greater is superior in every way. From the moment you enter the branch you can feel the difference. Customers are happy, chatty. There's no long lines, no waiting, tellers are brilliant, nothing is to difficult for them,everything is explained and they are informative. They make me feel like a valued customer. Not a faceless number standing in the queue, seething over waiting times and legalistic tellers.

      The Greater Building Society provides fantastic customer service; very personalised, you don't just feel like a 'number'. All their staff are approachable and friendly, making the banking experience very enjoyable. Their phone banking facilities...       Full review 

      The Greater Building Society provides fantastic customer service; very personalised, you don't just feel like a 'number'. All their staff are approachable and friendly, making the banking experience very enjoyable. Their phone banking facilities don't always respond very well; they seem to experience a bit of downtime or unavailability at times which is a little inconvenient. The online access to their services is great, never experienced a gliche with that at all. Their banking products are second to none (in my opinion). Their home loan products have one of the lowest interest rates and offer competitive incentive bonuses such as holidays to encourage customers to use their loan products. Their interest rates on their bank accounts are competitive too which is great if you're trying to save money and get some good interest on top of your own savings. All in all, I'm a big fan of the Greater; wouldn't bank anywhere else!
