The HSBC Savings account is a great value product for everyday use, however the major downside is lack of branch network. So if you need constant branch access this product is no good as only has 3 branches in Victoria. If you are just a regular salary banker who moves money around online then I highly recommend their secure website for ease of use and reliability. Never had a problem with them and even convinced my parents to bank with them!

HSBC Premier Account Holders are treated like royalty, there's no other way of describing it. You get preferencial treatment at all levels. A personal contact to discuss your account and undertake transfers or any other money matters, no wait/no... Full review
HSBC Premier Account Holders are treated like royalty, there's no other way of describing it. You get preferencial treatment at all levels. A personal contact to discuss your account and undertake transfers or any other money matters, no wait/no automated response from a person 24hours a day on the phone, very competitive rates and performance reports that help you steer your account. You get to use Westpac ATMs for free as well, so now worries all round. Can't recommend HSBC enough, its' a straight forward decision, do it.

HSBC were one of the best banks I was aware of that did not have any monthly account fees with no conditions. I did not have to keep a minimum amount in, nor make a minimum monthly deposit amount, not restricted from withdrawals. There were just no monthly account fees. In addition to this, I received interest every month. Not a lot, but better then other banks who charge me for an account.
