I received a new card in a couple of days, the bank man on the phone was helpful, friendly and polite. i was grateful for this service

      I tried the 4 big banks (Commonwealth, ANZ, Westpac, National) as I grew up throughout my life thinking that they all pretty much the same and will find a way to whittle your money. So I though I would try a building society and this is the one I found best. They actually do as they say and treated me like family for many years. Go Heritage! Thanks to Heritage, my fiances are no headache which gives me more time to spend on more important things like my family. Thanks Heritage!

      I HATE that when the credit card goes over the limit they continue to let things be bought and charge $20.00 each time. We use it several times a day and they insist on sending out the warning by mail even though we do not get mail quickly. ...       Full review 

      I HATE that when the credit card goes over the limit they continue to let things be bought and charge $20.00 each time. We use it several times a day and they insist on sending out the warning by mail even though we do not get mail quickly. I have asked for the credit card to come up declined and would not do. They have my email address which is checked daily but have not used that. They have rung my mobile phone if not paid on time but not if limit was reached. I asked for the limit to be upped and was told I had to pay an application fee AND have tax up to date even though card paid off every month and heaps of money in line of credits at the time.

Although we have only 4 free transactions each month, if you use it as a "credit" card, it will actually debit from the mortgage crusher account, with no limit to the number of times done so each month. This gives you the best of both worlds!

      Very easy and extremely helpful to deal with as a new arrival from NZ where banking systems are quite different. Their small size seems to present dealings as more personal and friendly. This bank recently alerted me to fraudulent activity on my card - existing card was cancelled and a new one activated within 4 days of that activity of which I was unaware.

      I am an age pensioner. Heritage has a pensioner account with no fees which I use to pay Credit card account each month on the internet. Their security system is tops. I was recently alerted to an overseas debit to the account which I was able to follow up and deal with. I know of nothing that would deter me from recommending them to all my friends.
