Heritage Building Society have provided me with a simple, straight forward everyday account that I have now recommended to friends and family. It's easy to access via online banking which is where I do all my banking. Heritage have recently updated their site but I feel it's still pretty much like their old site. I believe they need to simplify the site a lot as well as adding functions adding or closing accounts. I like heritage building society over other banks because their branch are small and personal but I would like to see maybe one free bank cheque per year as part of their savings account package. I recently had been saving for a small tinny and when the time came to pay for it I decided on a bank cheque but was quite disappointed to find out the cost being $7.00. Heritage is a great bank. There is no account keeping fees and the fees in total are very reasonable. The interest rate is very good also. Customer is number one in their books & all staff are friendly & extremely helpful no matter what you require help with. Their savings account fees & charges are minimal compared to others & everything you may need to know is explained in very simple terms.
