      An everyday savings account and debit card that pays you to use it? Impressive. While there are some very specific conditions that need to be met it is a good fee-free account to have Sweetened all the more by their sign-up offers involving free cash. Existing customers are rewarded from time to time too which is a nice touch.

Monthly incentives such as $5 paid to acc if more then 5 $50 transactions made in a month, also $20 paid to acc for 6 months if more then $2000 paid from employee to acc.

      ING Direct is a head ache to use. It's extremely complicated to use. I have to hold so many bank accounts in Commbank, to transfer money to and fro to them. Their procedures are so cumbersome. I can't even transfer money from one account to another within their bank. If you have one account in joint name with one of your kids and another with 2 of your kids, the bank account in commbank has to be in those specific names. I am sick of having so many accounts in both banks because of their complicated structure. Why can't i transfer money from any one account in commbank to different joint accounts in ING ? The Money has to go back to Commbank and then retransferred. I would dump them any day, but for their favourable interest rates.

      There are no fees associated with the Orange Everyday account. You can use any ATM and if you withdraw over $200.00 then they pay for your ATM non bank fee. Unlimited withdrawls, EFTPOS facility with NO daily limit for a transaction. Best bank ...       Full review 

      There are no fees associated with the Orange Everyday account. You can use any ATM and if you withdraw over $200.00 then they pay for your ATM non bank fee. Unlimited withdrawls, EFTPOS facility with NO daily limit for a transaction. Best bank account ever. If you have to deposit a cheque, you can do this at Australia Post. Maybe a drawback for some but there are no branches. Personally I don't need one, so it works great for me.

      The best thing about ING Direct is that it does not have a monthly account keeping fee. I do my transactions mostly online. They also reimburse the ATM fee if you withdraw AUD 200 or more. The only downside is that they have a minimum limit on out...       Full review 

      The best thing about ING Direct is that it does not have a monthly account keeping fee. I do my transactions mostly online. They also reimburse the ATM fee if you withdraw AUD 200 or more. The only downside is that they have a minimum limit on outward telegraphic transfers. So for any outward remittance below AUD 2000 I have to utilise the services of another bank. It would have been very nice if I could have done all my transactions through ING Direct. Overall impression about the bank is very positive.

      Online, easy access, can withdraw money anywhere with NO FEES! and they will give you 50c each time you withdraw $200 or more when you withdraw with a purchase (eg when you do your weekly shopping). Unfortunately no store, so no face to face service, but had no problem at all with online or telephone customer service, always prompt and deals with your enquiry quickly.

      ING is great because they're the most innovative bank around. They have a great way of avoiding ATM incurred fees - they actually pay you when you withdraw more than $200. Their customer service team are really friendly too. They also have great incentives to win bonus money. The only con is that their ING DIRECT savings account has a great introductory rate, but their ongoing one is not the best in the market.

      The ING Direct is the best banking system I have ever been involved with, the setting up was very simple, with no hassle with dumb conventionally bank staff that don't know their own procedures. The protection of your funds are great, with no ATM charges as long as $200 is withdrawn at a time and can be used overseas. The actual account that holds the funds can be topped up as needed (via internet) while the other accounts with the main funds are growing at high interest rate compared to the four pillar banks (this format stops the thief's with a limited amount held in the withdrawing account). As far as I'm concerned the ING Direct is a fully serviceable bank for all your needs including overseas transfer of funds without the great expense of other banks. The customer service has a 24/7 call centre for any problems that arrive.

      NO fees, NO atm charges if you take money out while using eftpos or taking out $200 at a time, so you can use ANY atm. No physical branch, but this hasn't posed a problem. Easy internet banking, and very astute (I was phoned because my card had apparently been compromised. Within 3 days, I had my new card up and running, and no money was lost from my account.) They also run occasional competitions which adds a bit of fun. Highly recommended :)

      I have been a customer of INGDirect for over 12months and in that time I haven't paid any bank or account fees whereas before I was paying fees continuosly. INGDirect have actually paid me which is fantastic and they pay excellent interest rates on your accounts. It took about 5 working days once my information was sent to them for me to get my new debit card and bank account details. Even though there are no branches it isn't an issue due to all my banking is done online why have branches.All INGDirect products are easy once you have the main account. I can't recommend INGDirect highly enough what a great way to stick it to the big 4 banks INGDirect is FANTASTIC
