      I like this bank for my home loan as they have good rates. When I was in a dilema with my special needs daughter home for the christmas break and i could not work as i had to assist her during the day, there was no way we could survive on one income. They found a solution that worked for both of us without having to endure any hardship and i am very grateful for that.

      ING offer a range of products to suit just about anyone's needs. I signed up for a fixed rate home loan. Their interest rate was the lowest available and they allow some additional repayments while many other fixed rate loan do not. The online...       Full review 

      ING offer a range of products to suit just about anyone's needs. I signed up for a fixed rate home loan. Their interest rate was the lowest available and they allow some additional repayments while many other fixed rate loan do not. The online banking is easy to navigate and customer service on the phone has always been excellent. The only negative is the lack of a physical branch but that is made up for with much better rates than competitors. I would recommend ING Direct to anyone with access to online or phone banking.

Con's - Initial Paper work is a little more than another bank I have used. There is no physical branch in QLD, so to bank cheques I still use another provider.

      We have two loans with ING, both times issues with lawyers preparing documents, but fortunately had been given advise to chase ... stressful. Bank did their part fine. I would recommend that you check if legals are still outsourced and keep on top their lawyers for settlement papers & documents etc. There is no face to face, or offices to visit if things go off track. Happy with Bank's product once exists.

      Had pre-approval for a loan. Finally found a house we liked and could afford. Submitted the loan for final approval and were reassured there would be no problems. The day before our contract became unconditional, we received an email refusing finance because the house was mud-brick (a 'unique property'). Despite repeated calls to clarify the situation could not contact our loan consultant. In a panic went to the CBA who offered a similar 'no fee' product to ING, all staff were fantastically helpful, and have organised and finalised a loan in less than two days. There are definitely advantages to dealing face to face with one of the big banks. Am now swapping all my banking from ING back to the CBA.

      Absolutely no contact with them whatsoever. Not even a contact number on their correspondence. When I did try to call them, I was on hold for 15 minutes to then be transferred again and again. Will NOT recommend them to anyone.       Full review

      Already had a home loan with ING so went to them for an investment loan. Was given immediate approval for the desired amount. Was initially told everything was going ok but 4 weeks after signing O&A on a house, the bank asked for a 100 point check...       Full review 

      Already had a home loan with ING so went to them for an investment loan. Was given immediate approval for the desired amount. Was initially told everything was going ok but 4 weeks after signing O&A on a house, the bank asked for a 100 point check! It was obvious they had done nothing on my paperwork and hadn't even bothered to check that I was on the system. 2 weeks later I pushed to get things moving and was told since I wasn't a commercial client, I wasn't important and would just have to wait in line. I was paying late fines on the house but moved to ANZ where I found the 'line' much quicker

      They are overly strict to the point that it was almost detrimental to settlement. They were refusing to settle over the landscaping, arguing that it should have been established not seedlings... Like that changes the total value of the house??? ...       Full review 

      They are overly strict to the point that it was almost detrimental to settlement. They were refusing to settle over the landscaping, arguing that it should have been established not seedlings... Like that changes the total value of the house??? And they debited the first payment on the day of settlement without any warning - every other loan has been debited after month one.. this left me in negative for the weekend - not a dime to my name for 3 days...
