ME provides a very competitive home loan and competitive market for other banking products. ME competes exceptionally well against the larger, well named banks.
We have been very loyal customers for over 12 years as we like to support the smaller banks, but in doing so, have been quite disappointed with the service we have received on numerous occasions when applying for pre approved home loans. We have had unrealistic time frames set for approval dates as well as no feedback from the mobile lenders which has made the whole process very stressful as we have been the ones who have had to do the follow ups and put pressure on to have the loans approved by settlement dates etc.
We have previously responded to surveys, but have received no follow up calls or replies regarding our concerns.
We consider ourselves to be valued customers as we have previously had three loans over a million dollars and have never once been late with payments etc. We have had other banks approach us for our business, and, as we will be borrowing again in the near future to finance another property we will certainly be considering our options before we do so.

I like it because of the benefits given to people who contribute to an eligible super fund. Makes you feel like you are being rewarded. I like the low fees and no establishment fee for being a super fund member particularly. I found the service friendlier than the larger banks and feel I get a more personal banking experience.

Great!!!! Came to us and although we had done some research there were still things we did not know about. When we wanted extra they offered a better deal than we already had and we did not have to leave home. Quick, efficient and great!

Always easy to reach a human being on the phone, and they are keen to help. Fees are low and rates competitive. They use the Westpac ATM network, so no fees for those.

The things this bank doesn't offer are not things that I need- rewards program, physical branch to visit. I am very happy with the service and the online banking is easy to use and secure. All enquiries are dealt with promptly. I recommend it to everyone I speak to that is lolling for a house loan.

I have liked the way they treat you and if you have a problem and need to phone they are lovely to talk to.
I use the eftpos a lot and no bank charges is a big one for me with the offset as well.
My main portal is through the internet and it has been excellent.
I have recommended them for my family and they have had similar experiences.
Not a lot of ATM but I use cashout a lot with my eftpos .

ME Bank has some real advantages for members, but in some areas they're not as flexible or responsive as other lenders. They won't negotiate, so their inflexibility means we'll probably move our investment loans.

I have been with ME for ten years for our home loan and we are currently selling, they are not open to negotiation on the variable rate to try and keep us as a customer therefore I will be leaving ME Bank. I will be making them aware of this and others when I mention ME bank.

The account is very good to access online and I can change the amount I want to be taken off the loan easily online or over the phone or ringing them personally - any calls I have made to them the staff are very helpful and will guide you to use the online service. The advice they give on how to reduce the mortgage is also helpful. And whats even better - is that they don't pester me to buy more loans or credit cards - a good no frills loan but with added features without the extra cost. I recommend them to my family and friends.

Absolutely brilliant. Mostly done through internet and using call centre. Extremely helpful, very knowledgeable and really friendly. Was not overly impressed with the mortgage broker when we went for our second loan but they are not direct employees of the bank so doesn't really count. Overall - would recommend them to anyone.
