  I don't like how they've taken their fees out at the end of the month for me to find I had a direct debit about the same time, and therefore when the money wasnt in the bank I got a overdrawn fee because the other institute accessed the account an...       Full review 

  I don't like how they've taken their fees out at the end of the month for me to find I had a direct debit about the same time, and therefore when the money wasnt in the bank I got a overdrawn fee because the other institute accessed the account and there wasnt enough funds, and the money would have been in the account if Mystate hadn't taken their fees. Another one was I had mystate talk me into a car insurance that they were linked up to through them and they said that they would pay the insurance if there wasnt enough money in the bank of the time of the premium payment direct debit. They did that a couple of times and then it stopped. I didnt get notified and the car insurance company made it sound like I was not covered after a few weeks of not having a payment made on time. Eventually I cancelled the insurance and joined back to my old insurance company and yet the bank and the insurance company have sent me letters saying I owe them money to cover the years premium that still had a couple of months to go to cover the year. Not happy! I've been able to reduce the amount based on the time I had contacted them to cancel but still am owing even though Ive started paying another premium elsewhere. The moral of this story is if I hadnt been covered when they claimed in letters that I wasnt and I had an accident then they wouldnt cover the damage with the insurance, yet they still claim they are owed money for a non existent premium.   I have recently found that the monthly fees are extremely expensive - I have been averaging $20 per month account fees. I thought it was the norm until I was talking to some work mates recently about it and they couldn't believe how much I was being charged. I have since made enquiries to other banks and it looks like I may be changing accounts soon as they have much cheaper options. Be aware of account fees / charges!!!

  All round good vibe financial institute! No complaints to be had here, nothing but lurve!!Face to face staff are always friendly helpful and courteous! There are lots of ATMs around to get cash out too! YAY!       Full review

  The fees are ridulculous and the ways around it are even more frustrating. Basically you need to do bank reconciliation daily and for a non business account, who does that?? They slug you the greatest with eptpos usage charges and make a small for...       Full review

They slug you the greatest with eptpos usage charges and make a small fortune from overdrawn fees on visa/debit. My comment - people beware.   I dislike this product because they will send you a letter telling you that you've overdrawn your account and they are charging you $30 then go and take $60+ out of your account every month and unless you actually realise that they're overcharging...       Full review

  It is so easy to have access to your funds, be it over the counter, with your visa debit card or with internet or phone banking. You can have access to the account anytime of day for all your shopping needs and it's just so easy to use.       Full review

  The best thing about the Mystate savings account is the ability to attach a Christmas Club savings account which I have found is not offered at some other banks. This is not easy to get money out of and assists our family to manage two December birthdays, Christmas and preparing for the new school year.
