      We love our savings account - it has a debit card and free withdrawals from both NP and NAB ATM's. The best thing is that with regular monthly deposits, we are able to maximise interest rates and this has made some great savings.       Full review

      Newcastle Permanent is great at communicating. I can always find someone (whether on the phone or in person at the branch) who knows their products (or if they don't know they ask someone and get straight back to me). They are always very friendly...       Full review 

      Newcastle Permanent is great at communicating. I can always find someone (whether on the phone or in person at the branch) who knows their products (or if they don't know they ask someone and get straight back to me). They are always very friendly. Their call centre is in Australia and the people on the phone will answer my actual question, not just give me an already rehearsed answer which doesn't exactly answer what I want to know. My business bank fees have actually reduced since I began banking with them which shows me that they are concerned about providing the best service for their customers rather than just improving their bottom line financially. I do my weekly bank deposits once a week at my local branch & I find that the waiting time is very short and the bank tellers are always friendly and knowledgeable. The product disclosure statement regarding my bank account is clearly stated and transparent (not vague). I have found any questions I have regarding my account had have been quickly and clearly answered over the phone. My main complaint is that my business cheques usually take at least 5 working days to clear, which means that money is unaccessible to me for at least a week after I deposit the cheques. Overall, I am extremely happy with Newcastle Permanent and intend to stay with them for many years to come

      The fees charged for atm withdrawals are exorbitant for the service provided. The other difficulty is their method of handling fixed term deposit renewals, so laborious and time consuming. Other financial businesses are more flexible.       Full review

      After 20 years with this same bank I am ready to throw in the towel and leave. Absolutely no rewards or respect for loyalty what-so-ever. Instead you get high account keeping fees and only 2 account statements a year! Guess I'm a slow learner b...       Full review
