      An insurer that really cares easy to talk to, easy process for claims pleasant and down to earth and on top of this more than competative pricing and easy to change and update policy. Not many people are aware of their home and contents insurance but this is also a great product and their packaging of things is easy and is great for the home mechanic and handy man. They are always in my opinion a pleasure to deal with, and best of all they their consultants are all great Australians based in Australia.

      I had my 1978 Scimitar insured with Shannons in Brisbane. It got written off by a semi. Shannons agreed it was not my fault, assessed the wreck and paid up withing 21 days and offered the wreck back to me for a minimal cost knowing it would be a straight forward resto/repair for me. They were great to deal with and now its almost roadworthy I find out my new premium with them is slightly less than the old!! Thanks Shannons

Finally I received a settlement but it had deductions for many 'small print' costs that were excessive! STEER CLEAR of them, I'd rather go without insurance than give these guys my money.

      They insure cars on a case by case basis, not on what some book says they are worth, as some well looked after classic cars are not just old cars but collectors items, even though not yet recognised by major insurers. Consultants have always been ...       Full review 

      They insure cars on a case by case basis, not on what some book says they are worth, as some well looked after classic cars are not just old cars but collectors items, even though not yet recognised by major insurers. Consultants have always been friendly and knowledgeable, and everything can be done over the phone. Lots of extras included too, such as being able to keep the wreck in the event of a write-off.

      Shannons is reliable and trustworthy. When you have a claim it is settled immediately and can be easily done over the phone. They do not try to get out of paying a claim (not like our previous insurer). They insure classic cars for agreed value.       Full review

      I have been with Shannons for around 15 years mainly because they are the only company that will insure unique and different cars. Although I have only had one claim over that period it was handled in a professional and courteous manner and the repair job was excellent. They may not be the cheapest ... but they certainly are the best. Nowadays you get what you pay for
