      It is very easy to move money between your everyday account and the attached savings account. The savings account has a good interest rate and your savings is helped along by eftpos purchases automatically being rounded up to the nearest dollar and the rounding being transferred into savings. A saving target can also be established. the statements are detailed and easy to read, and are sent monthly.

      As a student St.George provides very flexible means to pay for things vary from fees to normal eftpos transactions. There is also no monthly fee for the account and a credit card can be added to the account for no charge.       Full review

      The complete freedom account is a good choice for us as there are no account keeping fees as our pay goes in there and covers the $2,000 per month deposit requirement. Generally excellent internet banking which we use to pay all our bills and set...       Full review 

      The complete freedom account is a good choice for us as there are no account keeping fees as our pay goes in there and covers the $2,000 per month deposit requirement. Generally excellent internet banking which we use to pay all our bills and set up for our savings plans as well, you are able to set up regular payments weekly, fortnightly, monthly for up to 18 months and you get reminders when these are about to expire so you won't end up having your ongoing expenses suddenly not paid as your payments stopped without notice. Every time we have dealt with staff at St George they have been helpful and friendly, and the one time we had an issue with them and had to escalate it, this was dealt with promptly and with a great deal of satisfaction for both sides. Easy to set up and maintain, good service, good access to funds through ATM's and branches, easy to read and understand statements which we get online, overall one of the best accounts I have held. Also as this is a joint account it is great to be able to see where funds are spent, when and with a great instant update.

      St. George are united with Westpac, which means ATMs are easily accessible in almost every place I visit. Fantastic customer service, and very fast and accurate at getting the job done with everything you need. With the Complete Freedom Account there's no fees, I love the alert service so I know when I get paid - and the only Con I can think of is the extended waiting time when I needed an issue attended to on the phone. But the St. George staff were quick to fix my problem and give me all the right information, lessening the negative of the wait time. I've had my St. George Bank Account since I was 14, and I'm now 21. I haven't even thought about leaving. Overall, St. George is a fantastic bank, and I'd recommend them to anyone I know looking for a top of the line bank!

      I've been with St George for 15 years, and have accounts ranging from home loans, fixed deposits and money market accounts. I am not their biggest customer but they have treated me with respect and have always been highly responsive to my requirements. Their people have always been friendly and have taken care to explain not only the complexities of the whatever operation I was undertaking but also provided alternatives where this was appropriate. This bank prides itself on being both big enough and small enough. I would add that they're big enough to be strong and small enough to be personal, and I have total confidence in them. Very highly recommended.

      The reason I joined up with this bank is that I have seen how they dealt with my daughter in such a terrible time in her life. They were very considerate to her needs and made allowances for her accounts and gave her time to get back on top of things and i thought to myself that this is the kind of bank i want to handle my affairs and i have never looked back.       Minimum amount required so as to not incur fees. So the poorer you are, the more you pay. Plus the interest rate is non-existent so rather than pay you a decent rate, you are made to keep your money in the bank or incur fees if you go below a set ...       Full review

Great for saving if you can afford it but not if you have bills to pay. And if you go below the limit the bank charges $7 for the privilege of letting go of your money. They are not totally heartless and you can talk to them. staff a generally great to deal with.

      I have been with St George for about 15 years now and I have never had any major issues with them. I have had incidents where outside parties have taken funds out of my account without my authorisation and St George were very quick and efficient at fixing the problem and I got my money back. This would have to be the only issue I have ever had with them and I don't even consider it as their fault. Although most banks these days now offer no monthly fees (I already get that with St George) and all other extras I still wouldn't consider switching as I have been very happy with the way they deal with their valued customers and recognise that we work hard for our money and they should also work hard at looking after it for us. Not only do I get peace of mind when it comes to who I trust with my money I also know that they understand me and what my needs are. My husband and kids also have bank accounts with them and there is no other bank we would rather bank with.
