      The convenience of online banking matched with a VISA Debit card attached, makes tracking my money very easy. I have a Phone App which I can use pretty much anywhere. The charges are fairly low compared to some banks, and I find my local branch is very helpful. My only issue is that once Westpac took ownership, my local branch has closed on Saturdays, but otherwise it's all good!

I have complete confidence and faith in St George and i can not warn anyone of anything negative that i have experienced in my 21 years with this bank.

      Ah St George. Absolutely zero customer service! Had to send through authorisation form 5 times for my spouse to be able to deal with staff on this account as they insisted they had no record of it on file. Also had a staff member hang up on me ...       Full review 

      Ah St George. Absolutely zero customer service! Had to send through authorisation form 5 times for my spouse to be able to deal with staff on this account as they insisted they had no record of it on file. Also had a staff member hang up on me when I rang to get a pay out figure. As the icing on the cake, after paying out this loan last year, received a letter last week saying I owed them $3.15 and they were going to take legal action to recover this outstanding amount!! I will NEVER deal with them again.

      Good savings account for when you need easy access. It doesn't pay high interest and take note that the introductory interest rate for new accounts will only be applicable for a short period and will then drop to a much lower rate. Compares well to most other banks except for Bank of Queensland which overall offers much better rates and fees. I use St George rather than Bank of Queensland purely because their branch and ATMs are easier for me to access.

      I swear if it wasn't for the age old saying "Better the devil you know" I would have left this bank, I have looked around but honestly who can you trust? They seem to have a fee for everything, the other day I bought something overseas from the US and because of our stronger dollar, it was cheaper.... that is until I was hit with a conversion rate that made it nearly $15 dearer! This is new... never have there been a conversion rate taken from my account before. Then there is the lower than low interest on the saving account I have - I swear I am only saving money for them. A year ago I was happy... now not so much, but I have yet to find an alternative.

      I like this account because whenever I receive a big amount of money I can just deposit it into my savings account clean and simple and it is great to do transfers with. Internet banking now is great because when I get my pay from work it goes straight into my account with no delays and the only time I get charged on my account is if I use a different ATM other than St George or Westpac so I am completely happy with my bank and would recommend St George to many people.

      I pay no fees at all on my savings account and it doesn't matter how much or little I have in the account. They have lots of branches and ATMS so its always convenient to withdraw or deposit money and they are open on saturdays.       Full review

Interest rates are fairly low, but accounts can be easily linked with St George or other internet accounts for higher interest savings, especially as Direct Debits are free.
