  On the whole, I like Suncorp bank but their overdraw fees and account keeping fees are outrageous! I had a direct debit come out the same day money went into my account and was hit with a $40 fee!       Full review

  I use the eoptions, no fees and you get a little bit of interest. the branch network make it easy for people to deposit money into your account. And you can always get someone on the phone!       Full review

  Been with them for years, have several accounts and they won't consider this when applying for a small personal loan. Will be finding a credit union I think BANKS SUCK so out of touch with reality just like the government.       Full review

  I like Suncorp as they are living up to their promises. My previous bank was deducting between $20-$30 monthly for account keeping fee's on my so called pension fee free account.   We've been banking with Suncorp for quite a few years, since the days when they were the only provider who offered a visa debit card, and even then you had to be an account holder for 6 months before applying. They recently created their E-options account which has no monthly fee, but prior to that we were paying $5 per month. During a visit to the local branch, this new account option was pointed out to us and we have the same benefits etc as we'd previously had, so the $5 is better in our account than paying it in fees. There are a couple of features that we really love, not least of which being the ability to have (and easily create new) sub accounts which makes paying bills and saving really simple If you decide to save for a holiday or Christmas or even a home, it's very straightforward to create another sub account to which you can direct those funds. The sub accounts attract a reasonable interest rate (currently 5.00 percent) which is calculated on the daily balance. The main e-options account (to which eftpos and visa debit cards are attached) pays very little interest, however. Something I discovered while browsing the site is the ability to set up a 'sweep' if funds are not available for a direct debit, whereby they can be taken from another designated account or subaccount, saving a considerable overdrawn fee. The cost of a sweep is only $1.50, as opposed to the $40 honour (or dishonour) fee that would otherwise be charged. Having previously had a couple of instances where our account was overdrawn due to unexpected deductions from the account (once when I'd simply forgotten to transfer to the relevant sub account,) when I became aware of the sweep facility, I was somewhat disappointed that the information had not been volunteered, but that I had to discover it for myself. Suncorp allows unlimited transactions via their own, and Bendigo Bank ATMs, eftpos and online banking. They also have reciprocal arrangements with other banks, whereby when there is no Suncorp ATM in a particular town, designated others can be used without incurring a fee.

  I have been a Suncorp Account holder since I opened my first account as a child. I have never queried changing banks because of the quick response to issues and amazing customer service when an issue arrises. Suncorp make me proud the way they handled their insurance when it came to the people affected by the floods and Suncorp always exceed my expectations.   The customer service I had in sep 2011 was exceptional. The bank teller advised me to change accounts to avoid high late fees, then found lots of extra accounts. Advised me that he can help clean up accoutns and avoid extra uneccassary fees       Full review
