A few years into the loan, my work capacity became limited due to health issues, upon approaching them about how to best manage the loan, little options were given to me regarding if there was a better way to restructure the loan despite - newly approved loans being a lower interest rate.

      We have our mortgage with Suncorp. We initially had a few problems with the paper work for the loans. Things were incorrect. We had to sign the contract twice and things got lost but in the end, the settlement went smoothly. Suncorp also has carried over the reserve banks rate cuts which has been fantastic and our rate is very low compared to most banks. We also recieve regular updated statements. Overall we are very happy with our mortgage.

      The "back to Basics" Home loan provides good value for money with it's low rate. However, it does not come with a credit card or offset account so if my financial circumstances change, the loan may not be suitable for our needs. It does have a redraw option which is great to have and provides great peace of mind knowing that funds are available if needed. Overall a very good home loan for people on a budget and looking for a low interest rate.

After losing my job and finding I was pregnant The customer service and the hardship teams did everything possible to ensure I am still able to survive. The outcome was acceptable both to them and me. Consequently i won't reneg on my loan or have to sell my house, and the biggest bonus, less worry!

      We have had a home loan with Suncorp for 6 years (2) houses and they did absolutely nothing for us. So when it was time to sell we refinanced and gave them the option to meet the new rate. We had shopped around the banks for but No again. So we refinanced with another at a much lower rate and they did everything possible to hinder the settlement and now again with another home, the same thing is happening Wrong address on the release papers 1 week before settlement. Would not recommend Suncorp to anyone, might be easy to get into but after that forget it.

      Generally happy with the home loan product, not so happy with inflexible terms to swap products, and of course the associated fee's. Changing a detail like putting our loan in my wifes married name seems difficult and of course attracts a fee. After a split loan ended,we are left with 2 variable loans,each with different rates, which is messy. To put them together under one loan, you guessed it tricky and costly. The ads seem to suggest customer focused approach and the staff are generally friendly. Yet you would think in todays world of loan hunting and competition, they would do the 'small things' that are important to their customers. Mixed bag at this stage.

      The staff made the sign up process as easy as signing up for a home loan can be. They were friendly and efficient. We enjoy the convenience of 1 free 'cashback withdrawal' every month and that I can organise most transfers etc online. My only beef with suncorp is that like many of the major banks they are very quick to pass on the full Reserve bank rate rise, but when it comes to a fall in interest rates we only receive a portion.
