      Like: Having used this site to compare rates and fees on my existing Personal Loan, I found that it had by far and away the most competitive interest rate. It has no fees or penalties. I also find that the staff are always sensitive and caring and if you have any concerns, they listen to them and take action when you have brought a problem to their attention. The organisation takes care of their members in the way they operate and price their products.

      The interest rate is a little high, but most competitive with other financial institutions. I've found the staff very friendly & helpful. The re-draw facility is handy if you are a little short from time to time. All banking is done on line as the...       Full review 

      The interest rate is a little high, but most competitive with other financial institutions. I've found the staff very friendly & helpful. The re-draw facility is handy if you are a little short from time to time. All banking is done on line as there is only 2 branches in Sydney. But I've not had any issues with this. If you need direct contact you can call until 7pm weeknights which is very handy. I get all my statements on line which is good for the environment & more secure than having statements sitting around in your post box.

      It (personal loan) was recommended as a means of paying off an overdraft of a reasonable amount of money. In hindsight poor advice and poor decision making. It has locked me in to repayments and interest rates (rising) when I was struggling with bills already. I asked for a period of relief e.g. a month of no repayments but the person I spoke to was unhelpful and judgmental in her attitude without listening to what was being requested. In the past I have had good experiences with the TCU but not this time.

      There is a minimum time time limit to the loan time requirement and also a minimum loan. You cannot borrow less than a particular amount hich locks you in to how long it will take to pay it back.       Full review

      The free redraw facility is great, it means you can put more onto the loan each week and when the credit card bill comes in you can pay it with redraw saving you some interest. Only having one branch in Sydney makes it difficult to apply for the loan if you have a full time job, but I guess all credit unions have that in common.
