      UBank treats you like a real person. They are available 24/7 and someone always answers the phone immediately. They have extremely competitive interest rates. One warning is that you must have a mobile phone because when you transfer money they send a security number to your mobile before you can complete your transaction. My husband does not have a mobile phone and needs to wait until I am at home before he can do the banking. I mention this because not all of our elderly population has a mobile so the service would be of no use to them.

      UBank short-term Term Deposits (with loyalty bonus) cannot be beaten. Mozo site keeps pushing RaboBank but their rates are still behind UBank for a 3 to 12 months term deposit. I find UBank 24 hour service fantastic and the website is user-friendl...       Full review 

      UBank short-term Term Deposits (with loyalty bonus) cannot be beaten. Mozo site keeps pushing RaboBank but their rates are still behind UBank for a 3 to 12 months term deposit. I find UBank 24 hour service fantastic and the website is user-friendly. I love the way they textmessage you when there is any movement on your (savings) accounts or when your term deposit is about to mature. In addition, UBank is one of the few banks that are willing to transfer a monthly interest (on a term deposit) into a savings account which means that your interest is COMPOUNDING (making interest on your interest).

      You don't have to deal with people, it's all done electronically. I love it!!! They send out paperwork when your term deposit expires and if you just want to roll it over, you do nothing and it happens automatically, how simple's that! Plus you ge...       Full review

      I have been with Ubank since they started. They have been ahead of all the banks offering ma the best deal that no other bank can offer. They have been consistanly so for as long as I have been with them; and that is exceptional.       Full review

      Something is very wrong with this mob. I spent 20 minutes filling out all the online forms to start an account, clicked send and after a long delay got a an error message saying their system was temporarily offline! Rang their help centre and was told that all my info had unfortunately been lost. Tempted by their good rates, I later printed, filled out and sent in the forms by snail mail. Never heard back from them! Lesson learned: avoid at all costs!

      I put money in Ubank term deposit on their 6 months 6.41% rate. After less than 1 month I needed to access this money urgently and they were more than obliging they transferred the funds overnight to my nominated account and the $95 fee for early exit was very fair indeed, couldn't rate my experience with Ubank highly enough & I will be using them again shortly 10 out of 10 effort here.

Even my local NAB branch contact admits it is the best but cannot say that out too loud. Only small problem is when one tries to open a joint T/D account the security checks get a little overpowering even though a joint savings account is held with the same bank. Still better to be safe than sorry I suppose !

      I recently go a ubank term deposit. The rate is very competitive but I have had problems with their service. I had to mail the cheque as they could not do electronic transfer from my bank. It took four days for them to "receive" the cheque and a further 5 days for it to clear. All during this time I got reminders by email and snail mail to deposit the funds they had already received. They need to work on their processes!
