      When you contact this bank you feel they have your best interests at heart. They may not have the highest returns for loans but they are pretty competitive and always give you personal service. When you ring, you get access to a real person in a r...       Full review 

      When you contact this bank you feel they have your best interests at heart. They may not have the highest returns for loans but they are pretty competitive and always give you personal service. When you ring, you get access to a real person in a reasonable time and get clear answers. There are hardly any charges, and what charges there are, are either reasonable or avoidable altogether. They get my top marks.

      I have been a member of the VTC Union for over 40 years. They gave us the BEST mortgage rates, personal loan rates and we have NEVER paid ANY fees on our account! My daughter has also dealt with them for nearly 30 yrs and all though she now lives...       Full review 

      I have been a member of the VTC Union for over 40 years. They gave us the BEST mortgage rates, personal loan rates and we have NEVER paid ANY fees on our account! My daughter has also dealt with them for nearly 30 yrs and all though she now lives in Perth (as we do in Queensland) They make banking from these states, cheap, easy and convenient!

      The best customer service I have ever experienced literally ANYWHERE!! The staff will always go out of their way to help you in any way they can. I imagine this was the kind of service that people received from their bank back in my grandparents generation. Also, it is possible to do all your banking entirely fee-free... you could never dream of that with any of the major banks. I recommend this credit union to all of my friends.

      I like the fee-free banking....unless you make a TON of transactions each month. I think they still offer 45 EFTPOS transactions for free each month - very generous. The only dislike is deposits made on a Friday don't hit the account 'til Monday m...       Full review 

      I like the fee-free banking....unless you make a TON of transactions each month. I think they still offer 45 EFTPOS transactions for free each month - very generous. The only dislike is deposits made on a Friday don't hit the account 'til Monday morning....instead of in the early hours of Sat morning. And a 3.30pm cut-off for Internet Banking overnight transfers to other banks is a bit early. I recently had to dispute a credit card transaction with VTCU and I didn't feel they were on my side at all. I thought they would have given me better protection.

      I like Victoria Teachers Credit Union for their low fees and easy on-line banking services. I have been with them for over 20 years. Information about the union, their rates and community support - especially for schools is sent out each month with the bank statement. The only drawback is no local branches, but any dealings by phone have always been promptly dealt with, and the Commonwealth Bank are agencies for deposits.

I highly recommend them to every person I talk to about banking and that would average about 20 people a month. When I meet up with these people again, if they have joined VTCU they also have a high regard for them.

      The credit union functions to serve it's members not shareholders so that really does mean member's interests come first. There are little to no fees on the everyday banking products however the only drawbacks that I encounter are the lack of bran...       Full review 

      The credit union functions to serve it's members not shareholders so that really does mean member's interests come first. There are little to no fees on the everyday banking products however the only drawbacks that I encounter are the lack of branches and limited free ATM withdrawals before fees begin to be charged. However as there are no monthly account keeping fees, no overdraw fees, and no annual credit card fees. A few dollars for excess ATM withdrawals doesn't seem so bad, especially when I know it is being reinvested into the credit union to improve service for the members.

      I have been with Victoria Teachers Credit Union (VTCU) for 10 years now and had nothing but brilliant service every time I call their call centre. It just keeps getting better and better. Unlike my old banks (CBA and NAB), any time I ever have the slightest issue I have received in depth assistance. The call centre staff are so friendly and helpful and don't try to shove products down my throat, they explain and let ME CHOOSE! I have even had them call me back to check that it was working well when I was having difficulty with my internet banking (which turned out to be a user issue). I can't rave about them enough. Even in odd times when their interest rates aren't better (which is rare)I couldn't dream of leaving because of the service. The banks should keep a keen eye on these guys because I for one can't brag about the service and help enough - now all my family are members and have moved 7 home loans over (and they are all thrilled). Let the revolution begin!!! Well done to all at VTCU keep up the brilliant work!

      This Credit Union provides all my banking needs in the most cost effective and efficient way. Their personal service is greater than anything I have received any where else in banking. If there is a problem they are only a phone call away. And on more than one occasion have personally called me to inform me that my account may need attention or there is something ai need to look at. They are the Best.

      They do not add hidden bank charges, they are always helpful on the phone and I can use their cards in nearly all ATM machines in Australia or overseas. If I need a large amount of money I can get a cash advance easily over any bank counter. The...       Full review 

      They do not add hidden bank charges, they are always helpful on the phone and I can use their cards in nearly all ATM machines in Australia or overseas. If I need a large amount of money I can get a cash advance easily over any bank counter. The only drawback for some people is that they only have 2 offices in Camberwell and Moonee Ponds but the only time you would need to visit is if you wanted a personalised PIN. Overall in the time that I have been banking with them I have been very happy with the service provided.

      Competitive and helpful. I particularly their service and the fact they aren't out to make money off you at every opportunity. For example, they send you a letter warning you that you may be charged an overdraft fee if you go over your overdraft and give you five days to rectify it. The are approachable and helpful. I recommend them to everyone
