  Vic Teacher's Credit Union have been supporting teachers with many financial products. They are not concerned with a profit and therefore create their products to best suit their members - the customer! They are easily contactable through phone, email and internet banking and are very efficient. The only concern is that they have no ATM's or branches and you incur a fee for using other banks. This fee is well and truly covered by the savings on their products however.

  Vic Credit Union fantastic! They have saved me so much money on my home loan. I switched my home loan from one of the major banks & I have never looked back & I have recommended them to my family & friends. No fuss banking with very supportive staff.       Full review

  I was not able to set up an offset account, and the minimum redraw is $2000. Pricing is competitive with any listed prices from other banks - but they can't negotiate a better deal like a big bank can. Customer service is brilliant. Everything works just as you would expect it to. No fees to speak of (nothing you can't avoid). Beats any bank hands down.

  The discounted rate and zero establishment or ongoing fees were a positive. Found the interest rate to be competitive but not the lowest out there. The redraw has no charges but is a minimum of $500 which you can get around easily by depositing back any additional amount you didn't want to take out.   I have been a member of the Victoria Teachers Credit Union for over 30 yrs now. I have had other separate accounts at "other banks" from time to time. However: regardless of what kind of service I received from any of them, the "Credit Union" as it is commonly known as between its members has consistently won hands down when it comes to competitive products it offers.   I switched from the Commonwealth Bak (30 year customer) to Vic Teachers Credit Union, because I became disenchanted with the greedy banks, and there raft of fees, and increasing interest on housing loans. We have a small loan of 80K, but with the lower interest rate, and virtually no fees, and NO monthly account keeping fees, we are saving $600.00 per annum. Wish I had changed years ago, and can't understand why anyone stays with the top 4 banks, as they are a pack of greedy bastards, and all the same as each other, care more about thier profits, and little about thier customers!!! - Well Done Vic Teachers Credit Unio. The only bad thing about Vic Teach, is thier lack of promotion, they have a fantastic product, but only found out about them by mistake, they really need to advertise a little more, and let potential customers know how good they are.

  I have been with the Victoria Teachers Credit Union for over ten years. It is a place where there are people that I can trust. I am a teacher, however it is not restricted to just teachers. I have encouraged my friends and family to join the VTCU....       Full review 

  I have been with the Victoria Teachers Credit Union for over ten years. It is a place where there are people that I can trust. I am a teacher, however it is not restricted to just teachers. I have encouraged my friends and family to join the VTCU. I have a home loan with them and Im starting to look at buying an investment property. I know they will be there to help when Im ready. I have gone into the branch without an appointment and they are happy to help. There are many Commonwealth ATMS that we can use, even though there are only a couple of branches in Victoria. The actual branch ios set out in different sections, for example you have the home loan section, business section and also the basic tellers. The rates are very competitive and I am very happy and Id recommend this institution.

  Likes: The option of no re-draw fees; excellent customer service on the phone, to the point where I often speak to the same person who is clear and willing; mobile lending consultants; they give you tips on how to save money as opposed to taking it from you. Dislike: can't use all ATMs and internet banking doesn't allow me to annotate my transfers with a written reference; transfers are sometimes slow to appear.

  Victoria Teachers Credit Union are second to none - with their accounts, fees (very low and fair - they'll move money from one account to another instead of dishonouring a payment or cheque), home loans and fantastic service no matter who you speak to.
