You do your banking at post office - not at a branch, and you use the RediATMs which just about anywhere. Customer service is outstanding. THEY will call YOU if there is something dodgy happening to your account!!! Doesn't get much better than that!

      Most of my career has been managed by VTCU and they have patiently explained services and questions or bothers I've had rectified. My nephew scrupulously researched other money institutions and used my teacher connection to sign up. They show excellence not only in customer service but in the products they also offer. I've never had a problem securing my money with then in 30 years.

      VTCU Savings Account are flexible, personal and cheap. There are no fees charged by VTCU unless you go over a very large amount of eftpos transactions. But the debit card can also be used as a credit card so you never ever EVER pay fees. You ca...       Full review 

      VTCU Savings Account are flexible, personal and cheap. There are no fees charged by VTCU unless you go over a very large amount of eftpos transactions. But the debit card can also be used as a credit card so you never ever EVER pay fees. You can have several sub-savings account under the one account so you can divide your money into personally labelled accounts to save better for different things! Truely a great and simple way to save and manage money.

      VTCU are fantastic, their service is above and beyond any other bank account I've ever had. Provided I stick to the free transactions I never pay any bank fees but if I do they call me to see if I need advice or help. They pick up fraudulent trans...       Full review 

      VTCU are fantastic, their service is above and beyond any other bank account I've ever had. Provided I stick to the free transactions I never pay any bank fees but if I do they call me to see if I need advice or help. They pick up fraudulent transactions before I realise anything suspicious has happened and I can access anything I need online, by phone or via a CBA ATM. When you call you get to speak to a person who knows what they're talking about almost straight away. They're unbeatable and continually win the Credit Union of the Year.

      After dealing with ANZ, WESTPAC, NAB, and CBA, I finally found VicTeach and I will never change again. When I joined a customer service officer sat with me and helped me to fill out the forms and made the changeover from my previous bank easy. At VicTeach you're a member, not a customer. The staff are endlessly helpful and genuinely HAPPY - such a relief after dealing with the false cheeriness of the big 4. I really feel that they actually ARE my friends, not just pretending to be. I'm happy to ring them with any financial query or problem in perfect confidence that they are ready willing and able to help me - and they've never let me down. I haven't paid a single bank fee since I joined, my credit card interest is low with no annual fee, they were among the first with a debit/credit card and I also insure my car through them at the best rate I've been able to find. VicTeach has a full spectrum of financial services ready and waiting for me to use whenever I may require them. I may be traveling overseas soon, and if I do, will use VicTeach's travel consultants and travel insurance. I have full confidence that every one of their financial products is the best available, and their service is sublime.

      Have never encountered a problem in the 20 or so years we have been with the VTU. They have always been efficient and gone the extra mile to be helpful. Fees are next to none unless you write a lot of cheques.       Full review

      I know this review may seem fake because its so glowing but seriously good customer service. I was called personally within days of signing up to check everything was OK and if I had any questions. They only have a few physical branches but they have deals with other banks and the post office so you can do all your free fee banking very conveniently. Also, even though I was rejected for credit - it was totally my fault and they very nicely told me what I needed to do to fix the situation before I tried again. This is how banks should be.

      Great for budgeting!I like that the savings account can be split into 3, with only 1 part accessible at ATMs etc. Money for bills can be put into a seperate part of the account and is safe from spontaneous purchasing habits. The 3rd part of the account is a christmas club account and funds in this account are not retrievable until Nov. of each year. The bank encourages you to sign for all purchases so as to avoid fees but it also offers a limited number of free transactions. It is a pity that Safeway no longer accepts 'credit' cards (even though one is not really using a credit card) and I wish that VTCU would enable us to get around this somehow.

      I suddenly had to go overseas, I had no visa or credit card, it took one phone call to the teachers Credit union, within days I had both these vitale items, I had all the helpful advice a novice required to go to a foreign country and know that my money worries were just a matter of a phone call away. The staff are friendly, helpful and at all times respectful, one actually feels they are talking to a friend. Nothing is too much trouble, they give the impression by both word and deed that they are protecting ones money as if it is their main priority. My trip was over eight years ago,I have continued to stay with this company because I feel they actually care. In over fifty years of dealing with the banking sector this is the only one that gave me piece of mind in regards to my money and it's management
