  I have found the Debit card to be great. Even when I have bought things over the internet they have rung and checked if I had made these purchases. What I don't like is unfortunately visas fault is the pinless approvals.       Full review

  I like this product as the visa debit card is acceptable everywhere, overseas as well as domestic, and there are virtually no charges at all. A statement is provided monthly and credit unions are preferable to banks for my needs.       Full review

  Now I really love the VTCU debit card because it is easy to use and the fees are quite reasonable..However you do need to choose credit when paying at EFTPOS facilities or else the fees can be quite high..       Full review

  Unfortunately their 1 branch is 500 kms away but phone assistance has always been excellent and fast. Dislike the diminishing quantity of eftpos/withdrawals etc allowed each month, but all other aspects have been excellent.       Full review

  I have banked with the teachers credit union for 17 years and just recently they have started all these fees they really dont think about the poor. Example: Charge you 17.50 to send back a request thats 1 dollar short then charge you 12.00 as your...       Full review 

  I have banked with the teachers credit union for 17 years and just recently they have started all these fees they really dont think about the poor. Example: Charge you 17.50 to send back a request thats 1 dollar short then charge you 12.00 as your account is over drawn so they make 29.50 cause i am short $1.00 thats just to name one time.

  Vic Teach offer an awesome visa debit card account which allows you to bank fee free! This is easily achievable by using the credit function over savings for purchases & only using Commonwealth Bank ATM's - I find it easy to withdraw cash via eftp...       Full review 

  Vic Teach offer an awesome visa debit card account which allows you to bank fee free! This is easily achievable by using the credit function over savings for purchases & only using Commonwealth Bank ATM's - I find it easy to withdraw cash via eftpos at the supermarket, there are currently no fees there either! Banking with a credit union also gives me a warm fuzzy feeling, I'm not with one of the major banking conglomerates & the credit union really does work to benefit members! I've had some great insurance deals through vic teach over the years. Try them out, you won't be disappointed!!

  The Victorian teacher's credit union Visa Debit savings account can work for you if you're a careful spender and use your options wisely. This card encourages you to press Credit if you don't want to be charged fees, however with places like Woolworths disabling the credit feature for Visa Debit cards, it's quite unfair when you're forced to press savings. Withdrawals from 'savings' are counted towards your 'charged' transactions each month, with a small amount of transactions for free. This can be a disadvantage of this account. The up-side is that the VTCU piggy backs onto the Commonwealth ATM network, so there is convenient access to withdrawn cash anywhere you go.

No problem was ever to big or too small. I was so impressed one time for their help in what could have become a serious problem I sent a thank you card. I thoroughly recommend this institution.   Firstly the Credit Union is personal and friendly to deal with. Location choices for personal banking are extremely limited. Standard basic fees on account, eg overlimits (which is hard happen, which is a good thing) cheque bounce fee - standard like most other banks. *** The only thing to be careful of is the amount of transactions you make with your Eptos/Debit card, if you use your card alot, you can end up with fees much greater than any other bank out there.   Although the credit union only has two branches in the state to keep running costs low, I have many options for withdrawing and depositing my money. I also like that every time I do an online transaction with internet banking it automatically sends me a confirmation of the amount via email. This gives me peace of mind. I like that they financially support the education community with grants and other initiatives. I continue to bank with them as all profits go back into improving the service and not into the pockets of shareholders. I have banked fee-free for many years before the big banks were trying to offer this recently to keep customers from leaving their bank. I also get my car insurance through the credit union. Once in the past I called up the call centre to seek clarification about their monthly newsletter. The staff member was helpful, but I explained my frustration about the ambiguity of the competition wording and whether I was eligible to enter. He thanked me for my feedback. The bank manager called shortly after to follow-up on my feedback. They are very professional. I recently sent an email of appreciation to them and recently a lovely response from two different staff members. I'm so glad I chose them over six years ago!
