  The product is pretty good, easy to transfer money, especially with the Westpac Iphone App, However at times their customer service was lacking. I am still quite happy banking with Westpac and I'm not changing anytime soon       Full review

  Westpac are so helpful when you ring up, they do their best to get a card to you as soon as possible if you lose it. They have friendly staff on the phones and in their branches. They also have many atms and convenient locations for all their cust...       Full review

  Not so much the product as we only have a debit card, however, the customer service at our Westpac branch in Port Macquarie is fantastic, the staff go beyond my expectations to ensure our queries questions or concerns ar met, I have banked with many banks but both my husband and I agree this is the bank we will stay with now.

  I love the idea of having a debit card - but being able to use it in credit card situations - for example, shopping online.. I am entering it securely as a credit card, but the cash is coming straight out of my account.       Full review

  I enjoy being a westpac customer as I have found they always cater to my needs and are always willing to help me find the best solution possible. Being a student I am given a great deal in which I do not have to worry about account fees which is always a real plus, especially when you are a uni student living on the opposite side of the country. They also have a great option in which you can now apply for a lot of their products online, which if you're a person who knows exactly what they're wanting and with very little time spare, it can really come in handy.

  In my opinion westpac has many positives when looking from a students point of view. They have many options for the types of accounts i can use and the types of services available.   The debit card is great for internet shopping and general purchases where a credit card is necessary without the chance of running up credit debt unless you choose to. As a general rule check your bank balance before you purchase items. Easy to u...       Full review 

  The debit card is great for internet shopping and general purchases where a credit card is necessary without the chance of running up credit debt unless you choose to. As a general rule check your bank balance before you purchase items. Easy to use and about as secure as a credit card. Can be uses on ATM's overseas and no application charge. Can use the mastercard pay pass terminal for purchases under $100 without a pin or signing so make sure you treat the card like a credit card and immediately report it if it is missing or a thief could have a field day. Like a credit card watch the statements to make sure everything is as it should be and always use secure sites.

  Mastercard is accepted and respected everywhere I go. It is promptly replaced at the right time. I don't know abut their responses if I lost it tough.I do not like going into the bank itself to discuss matters.       Full review

  I do not want the feature of just swiping the card for a purchase and want the protection of a pin number; but the swipe feature can't be cancelled. This was not explained when I applied for the card.       Full review

  I am so happy with my Westpac card and account -- it offers the standard pros of a debit card (ability to purchase goods and services like a credit card, but using your own money), but what really sets Westpac above the others is the service. I got a call from the bank pointing out a discrepancy in transactions (ie. two purchases made within an hour, on opposite ends of the globe!), and worked it all out for me so it didn't cost me a cent. The tellers are always personable and professional in the bank, and the service over the phone is exceptional. Compared with the bank I used to be with... I'm so glad I switched!!!

  Not commenting on this product. But I want to comment on Westpac in general. They are the same as ANY bank that wants your business to make profit, they could not give a damn about your personal welfare or problems. They sack their workers and s...       Full review

They are the same as ANY bank that wants your business to make profit, they could not give a damn about your personal welfare or problems. They sack their workers and send the jobs to India, so much for loyalty to their staff, I am disgusted with this. Also the HUGE money they pay their ceo, is a complete farce, no wonder we have to pay fees for everything, and also the shareholders are more important to them than the customers. I am seriously considering moving to a credit union or building society. I have been a westpac customer for more than 30 years.
