This product charges a mega amount of interest. Even if you pay off the designated amount each month there is always some fee that applies. I find this product too expensive for the awards offered. Even the awards are not that special. Some are in the form of products and they are already superceeded in the market place by others yet the points asked do not reflect this. Overall I find this credit card less than what I need or want.

2 years ago I had set up my Internet banking, as I do every 2-3 weeks. 2 of my bills were not appearing in my pending list but on my pay day the money would go out and the next day it would show up on my statement where the money had gone to. I had come across a flaw in their system and when I rung the computer technicians for this bank they could not explain to me what had been happening. On several occasions I would ring the bank and query the same problem but once again, no one could help me, and they would say it was a mistake that I had got wrong. I then decided to set up the same payment and then go into my local bank to ask the Bank Manager to witness this procedure and even he was confused as to what was happening. I was asked to not reveal this information and before I knew it there was a knock on my door....I had a package containing chocolates and cookies from guess who? WESTPAC. I never did get an explanation but the chocolates and cookies were very yummy.

I always invest in Westpac term deposits as their rates are always competitive and access is easy. However, I often experience problems with them failing to carry out my instructions accurately (eg they will re-invest the principal plus interest when I have requested the principal only be re-invested). Having said that, they are very quick to correct any mistakes but of course you don't get re-imbursed for any interest you may have missed out on during the interim period.
