      Savings account at Westpac is an easy and reliable account in which to have your pay automatically sent to. Benefits are you can use the ATM machine to make withdrawals or better still Online banking can be used to keep track of your savings. Online banking offers you the option of being able to transfer your money from one account to another. Offering the convenience of being able to pay your bills online.If you are interested in this product I recommend that you make an appointment at Westpac and talk to a representative about the pros and cons of having a savings account. I give this product 10 out of 10. I am verry happy wih this product.

      I have had problems with internet purchases in the past where they have taken money from my account when they should not of. Westpac repaid the money they stole from me and understood the situation I was in and helped me. They all were excellent a...       Full review

Westpac repaid the money they stole from me and understood the situation I was in and helped me. They all were excellent and they are always happy when you walk in the door. Love that.       Westpac's savings accounts are the best i've found- all of my friends are jealous of the ease and usefullness of the account. Without the savings account i would definitely be in a much worse financial state! THANKYOU WESTPAC       Full review

      Had no problems when in Mt Isa but since I've been using Gympie (last 15 years), I've found long delays waiting to speak to interview staff. One day there were 4 customers ahead of me when I got to Gympie Branch but only one of 3 windows staffed plus empty interview office. There were 4 tellers with no customers passing their time chatting instead of assisting customer service. I've now opened another savings account with NAB Gympie (retaining Westpac a/c for regular direct debits (bundled mobile / internet; insurance; Racing Qld prizemoney etc)

      Every time I have to phone them, they are extremely helpful, friendly and go out of their way to help. I have never had any problems with them. I once had a problem that someone was taking money out of my account and the gentleman on the phone went way over what he had to do to help me and he managed in a short time to get my money back. He was amazing.

      I like the eSaver as it is attached to my general everyday account & I can transfer money between the accounts without bank fees (phone or internet banking). I am also able to withdraw money via transfer to my everyday account without bank fees. I do not have a minimum amount in the account to get interest. I don't need to deposit a certain amount each month & overall it works very well for me.

      Westpac charges fees like a wounded bull. There is no leeway and any errors on our part are charged for with very high fees charged instantly. On the other hand if they make an error they are neither helpful nor quick with rectification. We are getting out of Westpac altogether in the next few days and will never go back to them. I would never recommend them to anyone, in fact I would strongly suggest avoiding them.

      Westpac savings account is a good all round savings account. It has great online and phone banking features and a great iphone app - making transferring and balance checks quick and simple. Be aware of the overdrawn fee however. On the down side - there are no special bells and whistles such as a rewards program or frequent flyer points.
