NAB in my opinion is more customer friendly, and they treat their customers with a lot more respect because we are in a rural town. You are know to the staff by first name basis which makes it more welcoming.

I like the convenience of shop online using my own money. You need to be careful using it as a savings card as it then incurs transaction fees. If you use it like a credit card you get minimal fees.

I Have been with my Bank for 10 years and the customer service is Great. Their Interest Rate on a Personal Loan however is really high. I do get a bit annoyed whenever I call or visit my Bank they are always trying to sell me something from Insurance to Home loans. Its far to time consuming.

After shopping around at many different banks I found St. George Bank to be the most economical bank for my usage. Not only were the staff extremly helpful in guiding me towards getting the right account for me but one that has the lowest fees and charges.

The only thing I dislike about this account is the monthly fees they charge where many other financial institutions I deal with no longer do.
Im a student and have my student payment put into my account and yet I dont qualify for reduced account fees because I dont have a credit card account with them only a Debit Mastercard account and savings accounts.

I really like my St George debit card, no monthly account fees so long as $2000 is deposited each month, which is highly achievable for me, internet banking is so easy and secure and I can do it anytime of the day or night. I'm happy that there are plenty of St George branches around Canberra, so there's no need to go out of my way to find a branch. As far as paying bills and using Eftpos at a shopfront, I haven't had any troubles, however my partner has been wrongfully getting dishonour fees, for what we assume is over-withdrawing, even though when we check his account there's enough money in it. I have not had any bad experiences so far however I'm sure I won't have to wait too much longer before it proves too good to be true.
