Qatar Airways rated the world’s best airline

For those looking for the best in travel for their next overseas trip, Qatar Airways has just taken out Airline of the Year at the Annual World Airline Awards for the third time, having just lost to Cathay Pacific Airways last year.

Based on the results of a survey of 18.5 million online passengers from 160 countries, the awards which are among the most prolific awards in the aviation industry were announced at the Paris Air Show on Tuesday earlier this week.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer Akbar Al Baker said, “Our passengers are at the heart of everything we do at Qatar Airways, and we are very proud to be recognised by them.”

“Qatar Airways strive to offer the best travel experiences for its guests across our entire global network of 147 destinations, with a commitment to providing quality services to each and every one of our passengers,” he said.
