Thai tourism chiefs want more Aussie visitors
Tuesday 22 May 2012
Tourism chiefs in Thailand are keen to see more Australian visitors head for the Asian country in the future. Consul general of Thailand Biravij Suwanpredhes said a lot of Aussies are not using their full vacation time and he is planning to target these people through marketing strategies to encourage them to go to Thailand, e-Travel Blackboard reports. It certainly makes sense for holidaymakers to consider this particular destination – and not just because of its intriguing blend of beautiful beaches and bustling cities. The cost of living in Thailand is extremely low and is renowned for providing fantastic value for money. At the moment, one Aussie dollar will get you more than 31 Thai Baht, which means tourists from down under do not need to overload their prepaid travel cards to have a good time. Having a travel credit card is a shrewd move when heading to an unfamiliar country. Rather than carrying pocketfuls of overseas travel money, you can pay for the majority of your items with your plastic, which is obviously much safer. Have a question about travel money?
