Ritchie goes back on his word

Despite early talk of avoiding alimony, it appears Guy Ritchie could not resist the lure of Madge’s millions and won big in the quick court settlement last month.

While reports suggested that the British director had asked only for access to his kids, Madonna’s publicist has confirmed that Ritchie actually bagged between $113 and $137 million dollars.

Spokesperson Liz Rosenburg speculated that it was probably “one of the largest payouts ever in a divorce settlement”.

The pair are still currently wrangling over arrangements with their children, with some reports indicating that Madge wants them to adhere to strict Kabbalah principles when they are at Ritchie’s.

Meanwhile, UK paper the Telegraph has offered a round-up of Guy’s takings during his seven-year marriage to the singer.

Prominent among his assets are The Punchbowl Pub in Mayfair and Ashcombe House in Wiltshire, worth around £3 million ($6.8 million) and £14 million each.

And it noted that while it looks like he’ll get between £5 and £10 million in child maintenance, it did come at the expense of “listening to Madge reading her own bedtime stories – which make Jordan sound like a Booker-nominee”.
