Get the look for less: Paris Fashion Week outfits

Oh my, what a whirlwind Paris Fashion Week was! From the spaceship launch runway hosted by Chanel to those Balenciaga skirts inspired by rubber car mats (yes, seriously), there are so many moments for the fashionista to mull over.

But if you’re anything like us, what you are really interested in, was what the celebs sitting in the front row were wearing. You can easily replicate a bunch of their on-trend outfits for a fraction of the price. As we say au revoir to the biggest biannual fashion show in France, let’s welcome these new on-trend looks by some of the biggest names in the industry.

Gigi Hadid

One supermodel dominating the fashion scene on and off the runway is none other than Gigi Hadid. Her penchant for street wear shone through at Paris Fashion Week in the form of this double denim outfit featured below:

Why it works: Gigi’s choice of subdued colours tone down this playful denim combo.

Kendall Jenner

Gigi Hadid is routinely seen hanging out with Kendall Jenner, and it’s easy to see that these social darlings of Instagram have good fashion sense in common. Kendall sported three items of fire engine red in the front row of Off White and totally rocked it.

Why it works: Kendall made the tailoring trend fun with one pop of colour. Red is not an easy tone to pull off but her hair slicked back and strong brow game harnessed it.

For the base of your outfit, try H & M’s modest Textured Pleated Top for $14.99. That symmetrical neckline will sit perfectly under your blazer.

Don a blazer such as Boohoo’s affordable pick dubbed the Karina Tailored Blazer for $25. You’ll enjoy the flexibility that comes with scrunching your sleeves up when out of office.

Keeping up with the pleated theme, opt for these Rocketman Pleated Pants at The Iconic for $41.97, which is more suitable for our seasonal weather here in Australia.

Emily Ratajkowski

Remember when Emily Ratajkowski posted a naked bathroom selfie with Kim Kardashian to promote feminism? Well here’s another reason to believe the model is feminist as f**k and wants you to know it – that Jonathan Simkhai tee she wore during Paris Fashion Week.

Why it works: Statements aside, the soft green tone of Emily’s kimono is on-trend and those distressed denim jeans make the outfit versatile.

Okay so this Jonathan Simkhai tee is expensive at 95 US dollars, but because all proceeds go to charity we’re on board (just keep in mind that you’ll need to pre-order it).

Wear your tee beneath this silky Kimono Midi Dress in “Duckegg Blue” from Misguided for only $33.95.

Tip: Choose a larger size than you normally would so you have more fabric to play with like Emily’s kimono.

Add a strong blue hue into your look with the Alexa Boyfriend Jean by Forever New for $99.99.

Lottie Moss

When Kate Moss wed her now ex-husband Jamie Hince back in 2011, Lottie Moss almost stole the limelight as one of her bridesmaids. Since then the fashion industry has taken Lottie under its wing and she’s been following in the footsteps of her older sister as a successful model. So naturally her effortless style did not disappoint at the Dior show during Paris Fashion Week…

Why it works: Lottie channeled Parisian chic by wearing cigarette pants and fur, plus her tousled hair gives the whole outfit a boost.

Start your outfit base with this slightly dressy Mesh Raglan Tee from Bonds, which is currently on sale for only $20.97.

But don’t pair it with real fur of course! Go for an ethical alternative like Brave Soul’s Faux Fur Jacket in black, on sale at Asos for $102. The mid length makes it easy to wear with trousers or your fave jeans.

Portmans latest workwear collection has just arrived, and it’s a good thing too because in it includes the Soho Sateen Slim Leg Crop for $79.95.
