American Express to deliver $5.3 million in savings to cardholders at leading Aussie retailers through revamped offers platform

American Express has partnered with several of Australia’s leading retailers to deliver up to $5.3 million in instant cashback discounts to its cardholders through the launch of its revamped digital offers platform.

The latest Amex Offers was launched yesterday, providing cardholders with savings at some of Australia’s biggest brands including Harvey Norman, David Jones, Liquorland, Country Road, 7-Eleven and Woolworths.

These offers are selected and ranked based on individual relevance and don’t need to be printed off or displayed but appear as direct credit back onto the cardholder’s statement, when an eligible purchase has been made.

American Express Vice President Consumer Acquisition and Loyalty, Dean Chadwick said, “We know Australians spend a proportion of their disposable income on food and wine, fashion, entertainment and electronics. More often than not they tend to do so at everyday brands and department stores such as David Jones and Harvey Norman which is why we have partnered with these brands.”

Since first launching the Amex Offers platform in late 2013, American Express has delivered up to $5.6 million in savings to its Australian cardholders.

The launch comes in response to research showing Australia is a nation of value-driven shoppers with supermarkets, retailers and petrol stations as the most popular destinations to redeem these Amex Offers.
