Aussies use credit cards online to snap up electronics, study shows

Aussies are increasingly using their credit cards to buy electrical gadgets via the internet, a new study has shown.

According to data compiled by ReportsnReports, Aussies are more adept at comparing products online before settling for the cheapest deal.

The report noted that devices such as smartphones and tablets are proving increasingly popular, as people want to access the internet while on the move.
It also found that retailers that specialise in electronics have been forced to drive down their prices for a number of reasons.

The high Aussie dollar and subdued demand from shoppers has led to a widespread decline in prices, which means more credit card holders have been finding plenty of bargains in recent months.

Earlier this week, consumer group Australian Made, Australian Grown urged people across the country to support their local traders and resist the temptation to buy goods from other nations online, as this will provide a much needed boost to the retail sector.
