Aussie consumers are finding that the quickest way for them to bag a bargain is to log on to the internet, it has been claimed.

Lorna Knowles, writing for the Sunday Telegraph, stated that there are now also several websites to help Aussies overcome the financial pressures they may feel as they shop – while some people may wish to go online to compare credit cards.

At whypayfullprice.com, shoppers can download and print coupons to spend in any participating stores, with discounts ranging from money off attractions and entertainment, to accommodation and travel, services, retail and dining out, she adds.

And at topbargains.com, Aussies can share any bargains they have heard of with other users.

Meanwhile, consumers may wish to spend more time shopping online after the Herald Sun reported that four of the five major bank account providers have admitted they will charge customers for using rival companies’ ATM machines.
